What is this thread about?
The Orange-White-Blue Regions of Rejistania and The Formerly Jingoistic States of Brazillico, both well established nations in the World Cup with hosting experience, are bidding to host World Cup 16. In this thread we are presenting information for the World cup Committee and anyone wanting to influence them to decide on the bid.

What makes BRE different?
The BRE bid is a bid of established NSlers, who are both frequent RPers. This bid has the advantage to unify the strengths of good formulae, innovative ideas for the RP bonus and leagionized tables (just to assure you: we won't use the WC13-formula which caused despite heavy tweaking too many shutouts).

Hard facts:
* scorination will be done by a modified version of leagion
* the CoH formula, Brazillico used for two CoH will replace leagion's shutout-formula
* a four tier, quantity based RP bonus will be used seeing that it is impossible to determine quality without bias or subjectivity. The four tiers will give a nearly nonexisting bonus for all the people who post great RPs like "we won!", a small bonus for short RPs, a normal RP bonus for RPs which are in normal length and a high bonus for everyone who spend time and effort in writing a long RP (the exact criteria for these classes will be determined by the RPing of WC15)
* newbies will get a higher bonus for RPing
* qualification will be run with 15 groups of 6, limiting the number of MDs to 10

Stadia to come whenever I can make geocities images appear here.

With a bid logo that good, the WCC will have to give you the hosting bid. ;)

innovative ideas for the RP bonus
It's strikingly similar to the WC13 bonus. How is that 'innovative'?

* qualification will be run with 15 groups of 6, limiting the number of MDs to 10
...and leaving established nation(s) (i.e. Spaam) out.
I wouldn't be surprised if KP sets a minimum number of teams in pre-qualifying/qualifying (like SN38 in WC14)...hopefully, he'll have the sense to not set an exact number of teams

you mean, never? ;)

They had better ensure that I'm in, or their otherwise safe vote for me is gonna be nonexistant!

Honestly... Spaam hasn't missed a World Cup for over a RL year!

Well, I use Links to surf which is textmode-only. I guess the decision for or against a hosting bid should not depend on the logo.

I can assure you that the RP-bonus is as difficult as chatting on IRC only via telnet. But since I am involved, only parts of it are revealed due to my fear of seeing it exploited.

Does Puppet rule ring a bell? Spaam's in.

hmmmmm........ yes. This bid is satisfactory, but do you not believe that you should step aside an let those who have not hosted before host?

well, we were not satisfied with the bids existing at that time and because of this decided to bid on our own. To me, it doesn't matter how often someone hosted before, I even wouldn't mind someone hosting all the time as long as he or she does a good job at it. Due to this situation, Braz and i decided to host again. See our experience as an advantage. (Besides: I first asked a newer WC-ler for a bid, not he did not accept).

Besides, experience is not the only factor. Sure, there is some hard evidence to look back on, but the winner should (and I'm confident will) be chosen on merits. IMHO, in this respect all four bids are very close.

It will be an interesting race.

Hey, great to see another competitor remaining fair and not starting bitching in another bid thread. It was a seldom occurance!
