June 24th was The feast of the birth of John the Baptist, one of the national holidays making up Iesus's calendar of religious festivals....it was also the day the Lord Protector was to speak about current events at the only mosque in the capital..
All around the nation trains, subways, monorails were packed to bursting with travelers heading to holidays or festivals on the feast....many still where heading to where the virgin was said to be appearing...
One of the busiest subway stations in the capital was ‘Christs cross'. The station is a city within a city...an enormous underground network ...including shops and restaurants.
At 9am , a bag left in a station lavatory burst into flames....when station staff tried to douse the flames it began spewing chocking fumes...
The staff recoiled in horror even as they began to feel faint, dizzy and sick...
"GAS! GAS!"

10 vital minutes passed before internal ventilation systems were cut off...in that time the gas was sucked into the ventilation system and spread through the system...
The station was soon a mass of panic...people fled from the underground station as the alert sirens screamed out ...

On the surface...dozens lay stricken...many fatally...emergency services struggled to cope with the rising toll of injured..

Ministry Investigators in chem suits soon found the remains of a complex device inside the bag...granulated sodium cyanide and sulfuric acid had been mixed....producing hydrogen cyanide gas...

Matthew Iesus himself was soon upon the scene....with disgust he watched the carnage inflicted upon innocents..
Soon stories were spreading about the whos and whys....soon state media declared it a attack upon Matthews meeting with Islamic clerics....for sure the sultan and anti government forces were behind this ...

While relations between our two countries have been strained at best, we would like to offer our condolences, and a offer of assistance should it be needed.

I would send the Clown Gang after the scourges who did this, but I fear they may be needed in my own nation. Godspeed to the people sorting this situation out.

We have a mixed reaction to this. On one hand, we hate you and the Reich, so we cheer the anti-government group for striking at you. On the other, we hate gutless terrorists that kill innocents, so we condemn their method of attack. Gas a military base and we might change our minds. At least that's striking at the government and not the populace...

A few days ago....Iesus was astonished by the news of the gas attack in the capital..... so many died...so many striken..
The ringleader is no doubt a hater of God, the Reich and all that is good in the world...
Now The ministry has another unsettling report.... In the basement of the Tolger building...owned by North Star business interests...
secret passages and hidden tunnels were discovered.
Material that encouraged terrorism was found. Detailed plans to murder both individuals and groups of Iesus citizens were found.....The bloody terror campaign was supposed to begin throughout Iesus Christi in the immediate future while the Sultan carried out his war of genocide at home.... There was to be murder and arson in cities and villages.

let the attack on our capital be a signal that shall bring every surprised Christian to his senses!

Captain Aurora watched in silence as HARU's Angles of The Annunciation, hand picked by General Hammerschmidt, filed out of the small room. She felt much joy for being blessed to be a part of this team. The Angels would seek out and destroy any terrorist cells in Iesus Christi, HARU, The Reich itself. Those responsible for the bombing in Christ's Cross would pay...and they knew it. "Start praying for God's mercy...we are coming for you," she whispered then turned and began filing away her reports.

Operation AWAKE had begun.

The white unmarked van pulled to a rapid halt outside a squat suburban home in the foothills of Calis.

Angela and Elizabeth jumped out the rear of the van signaling for their comrades to wait until they opened the door.

Clad in the traditional robes of The Sisters of Mercy, Angela and Elizabeth calmly walked up the front pathway leading to the main entrance of the house.

" Ready? " Elizabeth asked Angela under her breath.

"As I'll ever be.."

They reached the front door and rang the bell. A short buzzing sound came from inside the house. A minute went by and no one answered the door. Birds chirped and crickets buzzed mercifully unaware of what these two women were up to.

Angela pressed the buzzer again. This time she saw a movement in the parlour through the window that overlooked the front lawn.

"Excuse me, we were on our way to the pilgramage in Calis and we were wondering if you could help us? We got lost," Elisabeth said in a raised voice.

"Please, we need help," Angela chimed in. With a barely noticable glance backwards she saw her comrades where they should be...in the van.

After what seemed an eternity the front door opened a crack.

"What do you want? I know nothing about a pilgramage."

"Can we use your phone? We need to call the rectory and find out what we should do."

The shadow behind the door shifted.

Sari al-Fazid wearing a floor length simple dress with long sleeves and a headpiece that covered most of her face had begun to sweat. She didn't like the looks of things but she felt compelled to open the door for these...infidels. Better to act like she cared than draw attention to herself..and her family.

"Yes, of course you may use my phone. Please, come in."

As Sari swung the door open. Angela got a positive ID and brushed back her wimple. She barely heard Sari try to make small talk about the recent terorist attacks in The Reich. "Such a sad thing..all those people killed..", she said as she led them to the phone.

Within seconds Team A of The Angels of The Annunciation swarmed over the front lawn and rushed the door.

Sari screamed but her voice was cut off by Angela who had covered Sari's mouth with her white lace gloved hand. Elizabeth smiled and held a 10 inch blade against her throat.

'Not a word out of you, traitor."

The ten operatives were combing through the house. Crashes sounded like explosions as they went through everything looking for traces of terrorist activity...pamphlets, chemicals, bombs..anything...

John walked into the kitchen where Sari sat tied to a chair. Angela and Elizabeth questioned her.
"Tell us where the stuff is hidden."
"I know nothing."
"Who are your contacts?"

Wiping the sweat from his face John reported that they had found nothing...
yet.

"I swear by Allah, that I know nothing."

"Bitch!!! How dare you use your god's name in a falsity? You want to answer our questions now. You don't want us to take you to the Ministry..."

Angela and Elizabeth knew Sari would be lucky if she even made it to the Ministry. They all knew it.

Elizabeth looked up at John. Get the others and move into position. We know this pig's, here she spat at Sari, husband will be home in about..she looked at her watch...15 minutes. Be ready."

John moved out the door to tell the others.

Angela handed Sari a glass of water then rummaged around the cabinets until she found a clean dishtowel. Angela tossed it at Sari.

"Clean yourself up, traitor. You want to look pretty for your husband, yes?"

Sari only mumbled a yes and began to neaten herself up. She felt a natural fear but not a fear of the soul. They didn't know how cunning her husband could be. How...creative...how loyal to the movement. The day of the jihad was upon her and inwardly she praised Allah.

Inquisitor Heide Bachmann sat looking puzzled at the ministry report on her screen.
"Inquisitor commander....can you help me....I was wondering...why is this ministry report on the gas attack timestamped as recieved 10 minutes before the attack occured?"
