Ok, to start it off...many of you know my situation. I am about 90% computer-less, and only get to log on about every other weekend when I go to stay at my dad's. Needless to say, what I'm planning will take place after I get a working computer at my house.

Nevertheless, I'm planning something big. I think that it's time for a change with Steel Butterfly and how it's RPed. Naturally that change is confidential, and may even be temporary, but to keep myself from becoming bored, I think it's something to do.

I'm going to bring together my biggest main character from my sci-fi RP's and my biggest main character from my fantasy RP's together. Needless to say, it will be a fantasy/sci-fi RPG. It will also welcome an event so drastic that Steel Butterfly as you know it will change.

It will be a CO RP, but it will be VERY plot-driven. However, I'm setting the beginning and the ending in stone (as I do with all my RPs), but the middle will be open for anything. I'm asking people who are a bit open minded and have had either RPing or IC diplomatic contact with me to join and do it.

What I'm thinking is an RP that brings everything full circle. Obviously, no one will get the full effect from it, as no one RP's in both the Warheit Saga and the rest of my RP's. As a warning, it might be a little "out there" at times.

Well, since I've not participated in any of the big RPs with you, it's hard to find a reference but, as always I'm up for inclusion. And I'd like to make that middle as interesting as possible.

So how about available "roles" in the grand scheme of things? Or specific characters in the somewhat less grand scheme?

No really set "roles" per-say. I'd actually prefer if you used a character from a former RP of your's if possible. That goes for everyone...with people like Tappee knowing to use the obvious characters.

Pretty much what happens is...in the aftermath of the Civil War, Steel Butterfly is in ruins. Looking to find help, some people make a pilgrimage to the neighboring Empire of the Thrakkon. However, without giving ANYTHING away, they find more that they wanted to.

I know it's vague...but I can't even say some things or points of reference yet because they haven't happened in my civil war thread yet.

Well, sounds good. Prior problems with FTL travel logistics won't be an issue now thanks to a certain alliance and tech sharing. I should have a few characters I could use.

It has been my experience RPing with steel, that the less you know the better it is.

If you want a well written story that bring in, and keeps you on the edge of your seat as to what happens next that I would suggest you sign up. I signed up with one steel nearly 8 months ago, if not longer, and I'm still waiting to see how it ends.

Still...Tappee's talking about a total of four different threads making up one RP. The background story will already be there for this RP...so it'll only be one thread.

1. The RP will shift from sci-fi to sci-fi/fantasy and then finally to pretty much straight out fantasy in a sci-fi setting. I've always went over the top with my sci-fi and whoever else has RPed with me knows this. I'm just classifying it now so that other people know what they're getting in to. I don't want a situation like: "Your character did what? That's stupid! It could never happen!"

2. For an OOC point of view, the change in Steel Butterfly won't really be a physical change...like going to a different tech level or something.

3. At a certain point in the story, five of my characters will become of more importance than my others, and sadly your characters. I hate doing that...just cause it's kinda dick...but fear not. I will make sure that each other main character that exists in the RP will have a crucial role. Also, 99% of the time that role is determined either by you, your actions, or your character's actions.

I oughta seriously RP with you sometime since I never have before. So I'm game. And I don't mind tossing my characters left and right. Hell, they're there to die for the greater good anyways, right? :wink:

Any sorta guide on what kind of character you're looking for? Or should I just wait for one of those excellent openers to figure it out?

Any kind. A "good guy" I guess...but of course he or she can be "grey" as opposed to all "white" if you know what I mean. You may have more than one as well.

steel for this I will come out of my self imposed exile to the Hill Ville RP. (somebody read and comment on ti please. my ego is realy fragile about it right now)

I would love to participate, sorry that I had to drop out of the civil war RP. Rest assured, I will devote my full interests to this new RP, and after the war Valinon currently is in reaches its conclusion, feel free to think of the United Star Empire as a target for refugees from the embattled Star Empire.

Hmm, well im going to see how the Civil War ends and then i'll take this into consideration. Im not a big fan of Fantasy related RP's myself tough.

So likely The Lords of War will get involved...I've been sort of meaning to use them more to do some good development of the Var...
