On the 1st of June 1086...on the softly sloping hill over looking the village of Amit....a event that rocked Iesus took place....
Here,during a time when the newly Christian warlords were struggling with each other came a vision from heaven.
Legend says that Mary Queen of Heaven appeared in all her glory beneath a bleeding cross to a group of knights as they prepared to venture forth against another village. Her words were simple according to legend...
"kill not your brothers...for doing so pierces the immaculate heart..work only for the cross my sons..."

And so the knights did...in fact they and many of their countryfolk took up the cross during the first crusade..

Since then the sloping hill has been a place of Pilgrimage... a shrine to "The Queen of heaven" on a simple grassy hill....

Today...
"My God..My God...we were on fire in the light which is God and yet we were not burnt....Mary stood there in her glory..her heart surrounded with thorns! Oh Blessed heaven! The queen of heaven has returned..."

The news spread like wild fire ..... a group of pilgrims swore under oath to the bishop of what they had seen....and heard...
The rumours spread...Mary had warned the nation...pray or blood would soon be shed..
The Ministry of social order made inquires quicker than the bishop....arrests were considered until others outside the initial witnesses also claimed to have seen her upon going to the shine..
Still Bridgette had the order written to close the entire village off until Matthew heard of the apparition... cutting through the tide of protests from the ministry he allowed free travel to the hill....his words made Bridgette fumed inwardly but there was little she could do..openly...she was already pressing her luck with the arrested religious...

"if Our Lady has come to Iesus...who are we to stop her seeing her people? Our loyalty is to God and Church first and forever...".

He had come in disguise to this place of God...wanting to see for himself what was happening rather than relying on others...
Matthew stood along with the others...his face covered by the darkness and the full hooded cloak of the 'order of the Christian brothers of Iesus'
A moderate crowd was gathered in the early hours of the day...praying to heaven in the fastion most traditional in Iesus..the rosary.
Then it happened...
He felt his soul sing. Matthew fell to his knees as he heard within his soul the words "Pity the heart of our Holy Mother which is pierced with thorns! the thorns blasphemy and evil! "
Matthew clutched at the brown scapular around his neck as the voice spoke on inside his soul...
"the outrage against life must end...save all of my children..save the children of ismael and isaac"

Rising to his feet, it all became clear to Matthew and with great voice begain to chant the words of the old crusader hymn
"Lignum cruscis, signum ducis, sequitur exercitus Quod non cessit, sed praecessit, in vi sancti spiritus!"



Offical government statement
To honour the gift God is granting Iesus through his mother...
All(internal and international) travel restrictions in regards to visiting Amit are lifted, aslong as those visiting restrict themselves to visiting the holy site itself.
