They had found the first body by a small shed at the abandoned shoe factory. The small boy had taken a severe beating and his features was near unrecognizable, blunt force had crushed the chinbone and parts of the skull and the six year old child’s corpse had been left in the shed for 3 days until found. The maggot infested corpse lying in the dirt told its gory tale to the crime site investigators that stood a few yards away. Peter Karlsson, the local Kommisaar watched the two men grimly as they discussed the best spot in the vicinity to catch trout. He listened to them with a growing distaste and when they entered the subject of maggots and their use as bait he stepped in and asked them what they got. The two investigators froze and quickly came to attention, knowing that the kommisaar might have overheard their discussion.

They quickly told him what they found out so far. The barcode in the corpses neck identified it as Finn O'Gready, age six, he had been killed by blunt force, but only after being sexually molested. This could be told from the injuries the corpse had in the anal and scrotum region. No sperm could be find on the corpse, but more evidence might show up when the corpse were thoroughly searched at the morgue. They assured Peter that with the current technology and the fact that Vegana had one of the most advanced crime laboratories would assure that this sick offender would be caught within days, maybe even hours. This animal would not roam free for long.

But the days passed by and two days later the second body show up. In a swamp outside Glen Ná Glóicha, not even 30 kilometers from the first body, the corpse of Jill Johansson, age nine, was found. She was strangled with her own belt, her skirt torn to pieces and her left shoe missing. She was also sexually molested, but no trace of semen. Only 100 meters away they found her sister, her head crushed with a big rock, still covering most of what was left of her face. The technicians looked extremely hard for any traces of the perpetrator but none could be found. No DNA, no saliva, semen or even hair. The technicians stood clueless, there were less than 200 deaths through criminal activity in Vegana per year, and suddenly they had three corpses within a week in the same place, and the victims were children!! The media watched every step of the investigation, what kind of monster was this? Stalking children?! Parents all around the area started to follow their kids to school and didn't allow them to play outside unsupervised. This wonderful remote village just by the broderlands was beginning to feel the terror of the evil close to the community that had felt so safe just a few weeks ago.

Peter Karlsson cursed the media, not only did they run around the crime sites , but during the last week seven persons had admitted to committing the crime. All of them were locked in now, on the charge of Wasting Taxpayers money. Even if any of them were the real perpetrator, which peter doubted, they would be in jail for five to ten years now, if not longer and if evidence of their guilt were found the stay in the cell may be shortened as would their life.

It was during the second week of the inquiries that Peter first heard about "The Fairy man". He first regarded it as some kind of make-believe friend that one of the kids had made up. Moving through the woods without any sounds, wonderful singing voice, stunningly beautiful. The kid told Peter about his secret friend telling him and the other kids wonderful stories and in exchange of them giving him food. It was first when he forced it out of the third kid that he began to think about it, was this more than a creature of their imagination? A man living in the woods? Befriending the children? He had to find out!

But then the story somehow had reached the media and hundreds of reporters was already on their way to the area to search for "the Fairytale killer", even reporter teams from nations outside Vegana.

Peter was still not sure about the existence of this man, and the days went by. The ministry had sent up helicopters with heat scanners to detect if the man could be found in the great forest, but the area was enormous and hundreds of reporters and wildlife was running around in the woods. It was not until the fourth body was found that Peter felt this could be it. Matty O’Reilly, age five, had been snatched away from her mother when she stepped into the local store and had left him waiting in the car. When she had come back just ten minutes later, Matty hade been gone.

Peter watched the crying woman, ranting about how she had told her son to not open the car door for anyone. How she only had been in for some milk and some groceries. How this never would have happened if she just had left work earlier the day before and shopped as she usual did.

She had come out to her car and found her baby missing, with no trace of violence. The child must have unlocked the door for the perpetrator and let him in. At first she had thought the child had hided somewhere near and called for him and searched the car. The mother had found her childs dead body herself, still warm, when she and some local people had started out looking for him. The corpse was found just a few hundred meters away, in the high grass, naked and with wounds on the neck and back.

Anna loved the Fairytale man he wan't like anyone else. When she listened to his voice it was like she was there _inside_ the story. But since the bad things had started to happen mommy wouldn't let her do anything.
She was always there watching and whispering to herself. Except for tonight. Tonight mommy got drunk with one of the 'regulars' so Anna was free to go to the story rock in the woods. The story rock was magical with all the bright blue moonlight and the pretty flowers. It wasn't anything like at home with the drinking and the 'regulars' and the anger...

"Fairytale man? Where are you?!" She was getting frighten and the fear made it's self known in the rising note of her voice. This was the one special thing she had that was clean. She couldn't lose this, not this. "Fairy man where are you?!!" "I'm right here my dear. And don't fear you'll never be alone now."

The sunlight shone on the dew sprinkled over her nudity. She looked just like the fairy princesses in the stories. Just like sleeping beauty, just like Snow white. Red like blood, white like snow, black like ebony...

He heard the child cry out from a long distance. His hunger burned in his stomach like fire. He moved towards the sound of the child with a catlike grace, not stirring a leaf as he flowed through growth. He had to be careful he knew, the woods had been crowded the last days and he had been unable to hunt. Oh how he regretted his pride the day that he had taken the wager of daring to go into the Reich. But his pride had been great, as had his trust in his skills, now he was hunted in the woods as an animal, having to steal to eat. He continued to run towards the sound of the child, looking around him with the ease of a skilled tracker or huntsman.

In Thelas the rumors of the 'Fairy-tale' man had been heard by Thelasi Military Intelegence. Satilites and passing crusiers had picked up the news broadcasts. Soon, the Thelasi government issued a message, tight-beam, high encription to the Thelasi embassy in Vegana, then, a letter was sent to the Vegana government.

"We have heard the disturbing reports of a criminal in Vegana who has illuded the athorities. We have reason to beleive that this pervert may be an elf who has gone mad, and because of this, we are offering the assistance of a team of twelve Tirn, some of our best trackers.

We can imagine that you would be hessitant to allow our agents within your borders, but we will allow our soldiers to be subjected to any tests which you may devise, unless they compromise Thelasi security, or the person integrty of the officers involved.

To assure confidence in our unit, we will send our own equipment with them, and we will monitor them to assure that they will not cause any harm within your nation.

Reporters has been allowed into this part of Vegana as it is a distant part of the nation. I got a synopsis for this story and I will adapt it to suit the action that will happen in this story.

Timothy sat upon the small cliff kicking his legs idily. He'd done all his chores and was bored out of his mind. So he'd come here with his bow and arrow set. But unfortunately the hunting was unbelievilly poor today. At least he had some protection against the creep stalking children around here. Yeah maybe he'd even bring the bastard down. They found the boy's body at the bottom of the revine. His body was covered in cuts and bruises. However among other things the lack of broken bones show he hadn't fell. He'd been abducted and subject to uh... 'unsavory' treatment. His body had then been placed here. They had the find this guy soon. Especially with the promises the government had recently issued to the world.
