Although the current base line production of the XM-8 blaster rifle has been found to be more than sufficient for general infnatry uses,other branches of service havbe found the rilfe wanting and have requested that a new rilfe be designed. So these two new designs for the Sniper corps and the Stellar Marines are being implemented now

SCOPE: the introduction of a variant of a macro-ocular design, by allowing more light to pass through the stucture of the scope while maintaining the magnification has allowed for a reduced weight load, and a reduced refelectiveness of the scope sights, 10x45 magnification

LOAD: the weapons is fitted for 80 extremly high powered shots per magazine (magazine is a combination of basic blaster components, tibanna gas an energy)
