OOC: Feel free to join, though your character(s) should already be at the ball.
IC:
Lord Azazel checked his suit one last time in the master bedroom of Exetergrecia palace before stepping out through the doors. He headed down the hallway and stopped just outside the ballroom doors. So far he had no idea what national leaders would be showing up.
"His Excellency Lord Azazel," he heard a womans voice yell from the other side of the doors.
'Here goes,' Lord Azazel thought as he stepped through the doors.
The ballroom was bright and there were plenty of people attending. As he walked down the ballroom he greeted those around him.

Yeah, sorry about not posting. I really am gonna post, but last ngiht, after 6 long months, I finnaly beat NFSU on the hard mode, so I was busy working on my street race thread. So, re tag, and will post tonight.
OOC: If my english seems a little sloppy, its cause im not writing on the PC with spelling check stuff right now... Im Norwegian you see.
IC:
Lord Saches, Oldmaster of Tewron stepped out of the car, he tucked himself more into his large jacket, his blonde hair was wavering in the cold wind.
"This will be interesting," he whispered to Lynx, the Vice Master of Tewron, "Do you think anyone really want to join this... Plan?" Lynx whispered back, Saches paused and looked at the other guests entering the palace, two lone lights were shinig on the road in front of the entrance, it was allmost like Exetergrecia palace was an island of light in the vast darknes of night, so clouded, so dark for a midsummer night.
"Lets hope so..." Saches finaly said.
Then he walked to the great doors, Lynx following close after.

:? uh-huh, sure. Do you know how many of my RP's have fallen through the floor? Hell, my "Mothership" thread has had one poster (besides me)

I've only had two successful RP's, the two people who I RP'd with in them have both quit NS now. All the ones I've started since or have joined have either died through lack of interest or everyone else in the RP ignored me.

Exactly the same thing happens to me! I've had about... 3 good RPs in my time here, maybe started 50 dead ones. We should start a club or something.

Well I suppose the fact the boards keep dying doesn't help.
Yeah, but still... I make an effort to keep in in an RP. Other people don't, however. It's quite a shame.

where the hell is that jolt move?
Draconis Nightcrawlis

Yeaa it was supposed to move to jolt in April, then it was May now its who knows when :?
OOC: I will offer a brief example of why there are limited participants in your RPs. Keep in mind this is my sole opinion.
In the Royal Ball (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3158975&highlight=#3158975) thread, you were approached by Bondayehr. Azazel was pompous, arrogant and rude beyond and above what was needed, or wanted. Horrible diplomacy, if you ask me.
Your subsequent posts in that thread were mutterings, scowling around, one-liner posts and being all "moody mysteriato". This is also pretty bad. I know for a fact (through IRC #NS Channel) that quite a few people swore you off after that. I am included in that, but I always (actually, only sometimes) offer second chances.
Keep in mind the whole set-up provided by the host(ess) was pretty miserable, but others made the best of it. Hell, I barged into the kitchen and TOOK the damn food after snapping up a whole chicken at the dinner table!
I've made characters that act much like your Lord Azael, but I never use those characters in diplomatic settings. They're made to be disliked, and find themselves in appropo situations. If Azazel is bad at diplomacy, send someone who isn't.
This is not meant to be mean-spirited, and if it comes off like that, I offer my apologies. I'm hoping it sheds a little light on your situation, and helps in the future. I will, of course, be paying some attention even if it's lurking about.

Well they're on my ignore list then.
OOC: Right. That'll solve your troubles. Oh well, I tried. Goodbye, and good luck.

Well I know what people like them are like, they're all elitist and sit around in a chatroom thinking they're better then everyone. I don't need to RP with people like that. Since I don't know who said what I'm just won't RP with anyone in that thread, no loss.
Zero-One
17-06-2004, 21:17
You see, it's that attitude there that he's talking about. The formation of an assumption and then acting upon that same assumption--especially when it turns out to be false--is a form of elitism in itself.
Every time someone tries to reach out to bring you in or help you, you rebuff them. Therefore, people stop trying. And I can't blame them.
OOC: Ummmm...you do know I meant more than just people in that thread, right? Observers who didn't post, but still read what was there and all? Man, do you have ego issues. Believe me, you're not as important, or even as good as you may delude yourself into thinking. In fact most of us probably aren't. I give you a constructive critique, and you get snippy and "i IGN0R3Z j00 AWL!!!11shift+1oops". Get over yourself.
You have no idea which individuals I was talking. Let alone the fact that people who DID post in that thread RP with many people. You giving a blanket ignore like that puts you into a very tiny space. I hope there's enough air in that little box for you, your ego and the air you need to stay alive.
Thus ends my communication with you. But here, have a parting gift. Bye bye, and thanks for playing. Tell 'im what he's won, Roger!
ROGER: Well, Sakkra. He's won a lifetime supply of IGNOREcheese, now in bluecheese flavor. IGNOREcheese. For when you just don't give a crap anymore!
