Wait, wait, wait. Am I to understand that there are only... *counts* six ranks in your military, and that a private makes $5,000 a month?! My friendly advice is that you need to add many more ranks and also rework the pay chart.

we don't got no perminent standing military. but we do got a bunch a folks with energy beam excavating tools (normaly used for mining and civil engineer) that make kinda big holes, also energy beam stunners, that can be mounted on grav-sleds and drone 'spy-eyes' and scaled up to be mounted on singleships and larger gravity modulation craft that figure if the're out numbered two to one the'll just havefta shoot twice.
ya see we don't really have much of a standing government either. just folks who get togather every 19 days to discuss things, although we do have these psionicly amplifying and tuning belt gizmos called belts of xendu that folks not born with naturaly high psionic abilities use to program the silent little robotic agricultural and construction machines, along with their microbots and spyeyes.
then there's the walkin sicks and elvish cloaks people wear when the take their turn 'protecting and serving' their villages and towns and each other which everybody completing or nearing compleation of their upper schooling takes turns doing.
also since we don't have anybody so essential to running things that their loss would disrupt anyone else's life, there's not much to be gained by attacking us, that and we're just simple enviro hippy tree hugging and little furry creatures with big sharp teeth folks anyway.
we got infrasturcture cause it's fun to build and play with, but we haven't forgotten how to fade away into the hills and forrest, walk and burn candles.
so you see we kinda ain't reall interested in all that goofy military stuff with people killin each other to advance the carreers of some myopic and thoughtless politico wanna be dictators. we just think gowin our vegies and buildin little people sized trains and houses is a whole bunces more fun. an sometimes on a mellow evening sittin arround in a circle beatin on drums and singin off key at and with each other.
hope you all kin understand. no ill wished intended. i could go on about some of our less tangable defenses but ya know we gots to keep SOME weapons secret.
not mass DEstruction but little people sized CONstruction. oh we do have ways. they's just perty much totaly unconventional.
