Problems in the new Arabian Republic
The Arabian Republic

The Arabian Republic, a conglomerate of nine Middle-Eastern nations, has already run into problems.
In Riyadh, four foreign workers were killed by Islamic militants, and nine others were wounded. THe workers had been working to instal computer software in a government office when gunmen burst in through the doors, opened fire, and fled.
In addition to the terrorist threat posed by religious extremists, the Arabian Republic is becoming strapped for cash, as generous social programs quickly dry up the monetary reserve.
Oil exports are down, tourism is non-existant, drought is killing livestock and causing crop failures, and foreign nations do not want to invest in the unstable Middle East.
THe Arabian Republic has only just formed, and already it is on the verge of breaking up. Qatar's citizens do not want to pay tax. Saudi Arabian conservatives demand that the burqua be mandatory once again. Lebonese radicals, not to mention a great deal of ordinary people, want to strike Israel for it's occupation of Palestine.
And if that wasn't enough, elections for the first Prime Minister of the Arabian Republic are schedualed in two-weeks.
Muktar is running short on oil. Perhaps a deal can be made.
Also, we will send peacekeeping forces to help prevent further attacks.

We will sell oil, but the price is becoming increasingly inflated due to increased risk of terrorism.
The peacekeepers should help negate that.

How many would you be willing to send? Understand that they would likely be targets themselves for radicals.
We'll send an Infantry Legion. That's 35,000. 25,000 Standard, 10,000 Guerilla.

We CAN sell you oil. How much do you want? How much per barrel of oil are you looking for?
We have a steady stream of oil.

We have a steady stream of oil. We'd prefer oil from our ally who needs the help.

Valeria offers to allow many of its citizens to emigrate to the Middle East to invest in the nation and help boost the economy. However, since it may cause conflict to allow Orthodox Christian and Jewish Valerians to flood certain places of the Middle East with their investments and endeavors, Valeria is waiting on the word of the Arabian Republic. As of now, 1 million Valerians are eligible for "subsidized emigration".

That is quite a few soldiers to send over...the cost to deploy for your nation would be high, and seeing as we are not in an immediate war-time situation, 3,500 would be far more than neccesary.
Between 500-3,500 will be all that is needed to keep the AR safe. We have our own amalgamated army and police forces, which are trying to hunt down terrorists. However, extremists are increasing in number, as those who were formerly considered 'moderates' are now labelled radicals because they want mandatory hajibs.

We are willing to accept 25,000 a year for as long as people want to come.
SECRET FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS: If your people are willing to vote 'liberally' once they become citizens (after three years in the country), we can arrange for better arangements for them.
Conservative Muslims may take over the nation after elections, and may want to deport these immigrants within a few months.

The Daughter of Heaven the Empress Tzu Yun sat on the Lotus Throne in the richly appointed Hall of Audience in the Summer Palace of Mei-pei, capital of Saiogena.
"Your Divine Majesty there have been many disturbing reports comming out of the new Arabian Republic, the instability in the Middle East has only continued to grow." Liu Khang explained during his brief summary of World Events.
"Of course it has, clearly due to the mistakes of European Imperialism and Jewish Zionism the Middle East wil never be stable but is it really our problem? The only reason the Middle East is anyone's problem is that most of the world is dependant on their oil, but Saiogena has used it's own oil and is turning towards the future with new leaps into Cold Fusion. We shouldn't be worried." Tze Li who was the Senator from Yigg and an influential member of the People's Senate.
"Perhaps, but for new we will maintain diplomatic connections and leave the door open for trade. Send a small humanitarian aid package also, this is my will." the Empress spoke from the lotus throne.
"So speak Her Divine and Imperial Majesty the Empress Tzu Yun, Empire of Saiogena, the Chu'pei Imperial Dynasty, the Star of Enlightenment, et al..." intoned Ryan Smith who was the Voice of Her Divine and Imperial Majesty.
-----------
An Offical Humanitarian Aid Package was sent to the Arabian Republic by the Empire of Saiogena. It was however largely symbolic but it did show that the Empress held an interest in the new nation.
*Notes: the different colors indicate that different languages were used, blue for Japanese, green for Banji (blend of Chinese, and Sanskrit), and red for Imperial Madobi (the language reserved for the Imperial Family).

We are willing to send whatever aid The Arabian Republic may need. However, we will need to station ships in the Persian Gulf in case we need to strike Hallad, which has been taken over by a dictator.

Within a week, coal steamships were making their way in droves to the Arabian Republic. 25,000 Valerian faces were aboard these ships, and many are young couples or single men and women looking to start a new life in the Middle East and to perhaps find their spouses among the natives, too. They had only heard of the splendor of some of the most ancient and glorified Middle Eastern cities like Damascus and Baghdad. Surely though, not even these cities can compare with Valerius Prime, the sprawling super city with countless shrines, synagogues, and cathedrals for people of many faiths (primarily Orthodox and Jewish, however).
Many of the settlers have their Mauser M93 rifles with them; the tales of unrest calls for this measure of security among them. It is up to the Arabian Republican Government to decide if these were to be confiscated.
All of the 25,000 settlers and their ships soon arrived at al-Basrah, in the lower regions of Mesopatamia. They were ready for work at whatever task their new government had in mind for them, and it was likely that they will vote liberally against the conservative muslims. After all, if conservative muslims were in power, these settlers might be forced into the sea... In the meantime, they plan on constructing their own district at wherever they are settled at, with its own Orthodox church that can bring the memories of their hometowns in Valeria.

From: President Julius Verian
Subject: Recent troubles
Message:
The Tundra has gotten word of your recent troubles, and as such, I have asked all Tundric businesses to purchase oil from your nation before buying from elsewhere, several major corporations and our leading gas station company have agreed. Also, to assist in fighting these terrorists, we can deploy JTF-2 troops (OOC: JTF-2 is the Canadian special forces, and thus, the Tundric special forces) to aid in hunting them down, or to help provide anti-terror training to your own security forces. Lastly, I propose a free trade, or limited free trade agreement between our nations which will better allow Tundric corporations to invest in the Arabian Republic.

The settlers were asked to turn over their weapons before being permitted off the boats.

The Arabian Republic needs no more soldiers within it's borders. We thank all those who aid us.
