The Arabian Republic is Formed

The Arabian Republic

United under a single banner, the Arabian Republic has been formed. To safeguard the freedoms of our people, we have created systems in which the government can aid the people.

The newly-formed Arabian Republic will consist of the following nations:

Saudi Arabia,
Qatar,
The United Arab Emirates,
Oman,
Yemen,
Kuwait,
Jordan,
Syria,
Lebanon.

Occupied Iraq was not allowed to join the Arabian Republic, as it is not under Arab authority.

Iran was offered a chance to join the AR, but they declined. Many politicians in the Arab Republic are glad that Iran declined to join. "The Arabian Republic is a peaceful institution, made to bring people together. Iran's government is currently too repressive to join the Arabian Republic." said one member of the 435-person council for the Allied States, who did not want his name printed.

People throughout the Middle East are rejoicing, hoping that the problems of the past will be washed away with the bonding of the nine nations.

OOC: Muktar, you're a little oppressive...but embassies, trade, and the like will be allowed.

OOC: Muktar, you're a little oppressive...but embassies, trade, and the like will be allowed. I try to compensate for the low political rights with good civil rights and economy. Kudos on the book burning comments.

OOC: Thank you very much. But with high civil rights, wouldn't you technically be a communist? Compulsory Consumerist State seems kind of fascist to me...though you have outlawed capitalism...Confusing. :?

Compulsory Consumerist State just means I have low political rights, moderate civil rights, and a solid economy. I am actually communist, now that you mention it.

His Excellency Shan Yu finds your political idealism naive and amusing. Nonetheless, he would like to open diplomatic relations with your nation. If that is acceptable, we would be more than happy to discuss specifics.

While on the one hand concerned by the new power-block created by the joining of these Arab states Downing Street is actually said to be somewhat pleased at the union. The Foreign Office more so, for similar reasons. In her greatly reduced state, the UK is, embarrassingly, unable to maintain proper consular representation in all of the nations it should like- a single embassy covering the nine nations of the Arabian Republic provides some relief on that front. London is as such keen to pursue this end, cautiously recognising the unity of the Arabian Republic, and offering to exchange ambassadors.

After all, unification is a good thing, as PM Bull is so casually fond of mentioning to his Irish neighbours.

(Fascists are far more likely to ban private enterprise than are consumerists, surely? :? )

THe Arabian Republic is glad to see some many nations involved in politics in the Middle East. We would be glad to exchange representitives with any nations willing to establish relations.

Any embassies would most likely be located in Riyadh or Damascus.

However, there is an ongoing threat of violence against foreigners in Saudi Arabia as of now, so we suggest any offices be constructed in Syria, where the threat of terrorism is low.

If there are no objections then, we shall establish a small embassy in Damascus. A small delegation will arrive by the end of the week.

If you wish, we would be happy to set aside some land in Lanxiaotao, our capital city, for your own embassy.

OOC: For the record, WA has claimed Syria, Jordan, parts of Egypt, and Lebanon among other territories for a significant amount of time...and other large nations control the rest. I'm recognizing your claims as an alternate universe, but just be aware of that.

Having no objections to location in Syria the diplomatic service is preparing initial staff for assignment to the republic. London's embassy district is open (so to speak) to the Arabian Republic.

Amongst the first contacts to be made by the fledgling consulate has already caused a sharp intake of breath across the spectrum of interested parties as PM John Bull seemed almost to tell the Arabs how to run their republic. With significant local devolution seen as a factor in continuing to hold-together nationalist and liberal Britons in a four nation union, Bull was keen to impress upon Republican authorities the importance of local identity and control.

"Well, lets hope he hasn't offended them." Said one back bencher in Bull's British Industrial Democratic party. "It's not like the North Sea fields are going to last forever." She added.

We in Valeria welcome your nation, and have keen interest in the region. After all, we have not annexed any muslim regions as of now! Hmm... Jordan and Oman would be better under a monarchy again, yes?

Anyway, we welcome any communication with your nation and any saracen from it. We've no need of oil, as we are fuel self-sufficient, but we can offer you trade in our own fine quality goods. Right now in Valerian production indeces, there is a surplus in textiles, steel, and coal...

The HEWC would be most interested in forming a small yet well appointed embassy in Syria somewhere.

Due to the conflicted nature of the region a small yet capable armed guard will protect embassy at all times. This will likely consist of 50 Imperial Marines, 2 Helicopters used for transport (and also defence if the need be), and 2 Armed Personal Carriers.

If this is agreeable Imperial Architects will be dispatched by the end of the week.

We welcome all those who wish to create embassies in the Arabian Republic.

Oil is not the only resource we have in the AR. We are increasingly attempting hydroculture in Qatar, and mangos will be in season soon.

The Republican Council supports foreign investment as of now, and we can OOCly assume that trade will continue ongoing with all nations unless otherwise stated.

Her Divine Imperial Majesty the Empress Tzu Yun wishes to offer the usual diplomatic and trade relations. Our nation has a small Sufi-Muslim minority and has a long and respect history within the Empire and we hope to have a healthy relationship.
