NS Military Management System

Dont know if this is the right place for this or not, but here it goes:

I started out just making this for my own personal website, to keep track of where my military was and what it was doing and put it on a website so other people could see it too. Then i decided, why not change it a bit and release it to other NS players.

So, here's an overview of what it does:

Allows you to manage your military seperated into Armies, Corps, and
Divisions (or whatever theyre called by their respective branches)
Easy to manage through an admin interface
It has a storefront that uses data in a MySQL database, and will (when i get time to make it) have an easy to use admin interface.
More to come!

you can check out the website Here (http://nsmilman.sourceforge.net/) it has links to screenshots and a sample site (my website).

I wanted to post it here to see if anyones intereseted, because if i nobodys interested in it, ill stop public development and just use it for myself, and save myself some extra work. So, if you're interested post here, or sign up on the forum on the website and say somthing.

I think it's a very interesting idea, and I support it! Let me know when it comes out, I'd love to Beta test it.

Looks very detailed Ferratus - and impressive!, of course, my species is alien. Would this also work for an alien species?

Sounds useful :)

yup, it would work for any species, i dont know how the organization of your military is set up, but at the moment it only has navy, army, airforce, and marines, all divided into preset units (army, division, battalion, etc. But making those customizable is pretty high on my todo list.

Well, I have no Army or Air Force. The entire military is Marines and Navy...

Could it work with that too?

yep, it will work without an army or AF, you'll just have an empty army and airforce page (or you can edit it and take them out). In later releases i hope to make this customizable so you wont have to manualy edit the files to rename/remove military branches.

I've released beta 0.1, its a new release so its probably got some bugs, if you find any post them on the forums on the nsmilman site forums. (http://nsmilman.sourceforge.net/forum)

you can download it here (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=111524&package_id=120859)

I like it from what I've seen. One thing would be nice, is to be able to completely customize names for "Army," division and corps; and also the types of divisions, etc.

Not that it makes a difference to me, I don't have a PC and I just use excel for this. Alas.

yeah, making the names of the military branches and divisions is very high on my todo list. Its relatively simple now, if you want to muck around in my code and change them. But, the next major release should have that implemented into the admin interface

looks good, obviously my country doesnt have a very large military, but my other nation has over 1 billion pop and so this could be very helpful for it.
