"Well from the looks of it," Teel laughed, "Your boss-man doesn't seem too interested in learning the tricks of the trade," he noted of the sleeping Oberhausen. He laughed some more, a bit more boastfully.
"And with all due respect, I believe the Lord Deceiver has already proved himself much more experienced in his leadership of our own Clan of assassins. That being said, I believe it was the original idea of a regional guild by the...what do you call them again..? Oooh yes..Wretchen," Trabian informed.
Dorin had left the room.
Uthracht's Spider nimbly crawled on the sleeping Oberhausen, up his arms, and rested comfortably on the man's head.

The Arch Duke was startled awake by the Orc's laughing. "What's the laughing? Are you done? Did something weak die? Oh....you ARE done...riveting...I was barely able to turn away from what you were saying. He turned up to notice the spider on his head and laughed. "Like a Parrot." he swiped it off and it went crawling back to Uthract.
OOC: make a policy response later.

OOC: Umm..That Spider is a bit bigger than a dinner-plate, and the size of a cat.
Ever see "Jumanji"?
.....yeah...

OOC: Yea, I know, thats why I said like a parrot instead of like a small bug. It was more of a concerted swipe than a swat, but nevertheless, it was just meant to show that the duke was used to those kind of creatures, he actually lived with Orcs for a few years, so he is somewhat used to them. Just not overly fond.

Uthracht seemed to make some clicking sounds in which his familiar interpretted and understood, and the animal crawled toward him, along the table, picking up the rings with its many legs. It crawled up his extended arm, and seemed to shrink in size, resting on his shoulder.
"I assure you," the Lord Deceiver granted, "that no bird can match the usefulness in my profession that my friend here has proven.
"However, I still need a volunteer."
OOC: This is no ordinary spider. It's a Familiar that binds Uthracht to Tark. It's a very intelligent animal, very silent, and can actually change its size and shape to any arachnid form. It can communicate only with Uthracht, as they share a mental bond.
OOC: What does the thing do? I want to know OOCly before allowing my Czar to possibly face death. He is not to die at this particular moment. That is for another RP.....

OOC: Won't say until someone volunteers. I'm sorry, does *trusting* a non-human creature scare you? Especially one with the title of "Lord Deceiver"?
I understand your caution..Mwuahahahahahahahaha!!!!
OOC: In that case, count me out.
And yes, trusting a non-human creature with no regard for life does not suit me well.
The Czar looked at his watch and addressed the delegation.
"As this conversation is going absolutely nowhere, I'm leaving -- I have more important things to do." The Czar turned to Arthur Zimmermann.
"Take over. Keep in touch." With that, the Czar left and headed back to Derscon.

((This doesn't show up in my watched threads for whatever reason, sorry))
After watching intently, Fredrick stood up, "I'll volunteer." He wasn't afraid, but a bit nervous. He hadn't even been ruling for a decade, and if he died, the kingdom would be passed to the IV, who was a mere 17. He waited for the Orc's response.

Uthracht, the Lord Deceiver of the Dripping Fang, grinned. "I admire your courage human. It's a relief to know that such creatures are capable of such things. Death is certainly a short trip, but life is much shorter." He picked up the cape and handed it to Frederick. "Try it on, do a little spin," the High Orc said, twirling his finger, "see how you look, and then give it back. No harm done eh?"

Fredrick tried on the cape. It felt ok, maybe a little bit wierd, but ok. It was obviously made for an orc, not a human. He spun around once. Nothing. A sigh of relief ran through his body. He took it off, and threw it back to the orc. "It was ok, why did you want me to try it on? What's the catch?" Fredrick was still a little bit scared.

OOC: As was stated at the start of the thread, Prince Drazyen has the power to prevent any violence occuring in the room, and will use it if necessary. No characters will be harmed or killed in this meeting.
OOC: My guys are gone, obviously, since GP is no longer a memeber of Metus. Good day.

"Now, let anyone else try it on," Uthracht said, half-grinning. "As you see, it was quite harmless. Anyone else for a try?"

The Overlord of Wretchengard had grown curious. He was a sorceror, after all, and he was quite certain that the cloak had magical properties, which had yet to be revealed. Although he was certain the orcs didn't think very highly of him (or Teel didn't, at least), he decided that he would try on the cloak. The orcs wouldn't dare to make an overt attempt on his life amongst allies he was sure, even if his confrontation with Teel had deeply offended the whole lot.
"I will try it," he volunteered.
