Tensions and Tempers Flare By Sarah Jennings Post Staff Writer
THETIS- The government has made it known to the public the transcripts of two Interstellar Telegrams exchanged between Prime Minster Sterns and the Coordinator of Foreign Affairs for the Hegemony of New Ortaga.
The PM's Telegram was the initial message, and it appears to be warning the Hegemony government that any incursion into Commonwealth territory shall be dealt with. The response from the Hegemony was laced with icy contempt, Allison Wolfe, Coordinator of Foreign Affairs stated "Your previous "commonwealth" would do well to remember its place of standing in the universe...tread lightly now, and your pathetic nation may live to see other suns". She went on to state that the government would also "Do well to not listen to the corruptive voices of the mindless socialists of Vernii. “Obviously harsh statements from a powerful government to the North West, but were they justified does the Ortagan government have a legitimate complaint against the Commonwealth, or is the government correct to be weary of a potential invasion. As always time will prove who is correct in this case.
Heavy Task Force in Epsilon Pegasi Removed By Michael Grosz Post Staff Writer
Moon Umbriel, Epsilon Pegasi- Today the Heavy Task Force which garrisoned the Commonwealth's interests in the Epsilon Pegasi system was reduced to a Picket squadron. The Taskforce was recalled to the Thetis system, for an unknown reason, though one could reason that it was due to the increased tensions in the Raumreich in the past few days. The Pickett Squadron that remains in system is comprised of a single CA 3 CL and 4 DD. There are also 100 preLac's in the system.

-The Triple Alliance Strikes By Michael Grosz Post Staff Writer
THETIS-As we have covered in last week's edition their has recently been a dramatic recall of Commonwealth naval assets in the outlaying colonies. We now know the reason, a preemptive strike against the GSA. Details are not clear at this time but what is known is that earlier today an Allied Fleet containing ships from Vernii, Erewhon, and the Commonwealth have attacked the GSA Fleet base in YALTA.
We do not know how the battle fairs just that it occurred. The Government has issued no public statement, to justify this action, however our field reporters have received a message the Vernii delivered to the worlds of SOL:
"Citizens and governments of Sol, today the People's Republic of Vernii has begun military operations against the Star Empire of Valinon and the Gregor Sector Alliance. Regardless of appearances to the contrary, this is not an unprovoked assault. Within the last week, the government of Valinon positioned a third of it's Star Armada in the Alliance system of Yalta, within quick striking distance of Vernii and it's protectorate systems. At the same time, rumors of a new Valinor/New Ortaga agreement were substantiated. The buildup in Yalta is the preparation for an assault upon Vernii and the worlds of the Triple Alliance."
It seems that the Government was convinced the GSA fleet in YALTA was an invasion group. What is unclear is the action of those allied with the GSA will they come to their Aid? What of the SOL powers or New Ortaga or even the Borgliaians, the future is uncertain. May the Tester protect us all and have mercy on our souls."
