Corpus Christi arrests(the devils den...)

In Seminaries, religious communities and parishes
around the nation…Office books were being sung from as
the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ dawned on
the nation…
“while Judas plans the traitor’s Sign, the mocking
kiss that loves betrays, Jesus in form of bread and
wine his loving sacrifice displays…”
The chapel door was flung open…ministry of social
order brown shirts stormed in….clubbing and grabbing
their intended victims..shots fired outside as
soldiers dealt with any who fled…
By Order of the Ministry of Social order.
In response to the treasonous failure to sign the new
oath of allegiance by some priests, seminarians and
religious, orders have been given to arrest the
following 120 dissidents…
Fr M.Collins SM
Fr J. Baker SJ
Fr K.J. Mchome
Fr K.H Mchome
………………
“take me!” Standing in front of the seminary
chapel Cardinal Patrick begged with the soldiers
The sorry looking Captain whispered out his apologetic
“I’m sorry your grace….its out of my hands…For God
sake stand back or we have orders to use force to
retrain you…”
The Cardinal watched with horror as the rector was
man-handled into the back of the Half-track.
“Captain..were are you taking them?”
“It’s the devils den for all who have defied the
Ministry ...i'm sorry"

The “devils den”....
Built into the very living rock is the historic
castle of the Queen of heaven. It stares over the lush
countryside and casts a long shadow into Iesus
history….deep beneath its historic ramparts lies a
vast network of tunnels that houses God only knows what…
The castle itself was constructed in the middle ages,
built upon seized pagan lands by the order of the
‘good knights of Jesus the Christ'…it was a bastion in
the north during the period of Iesus crusading. From
the castle the knights rallied force and brought the
cross of Christ into heathen lands.
It is in this period the imfamy began….for in the
castle courtyard the Gnostic prince Wulmar was burnt
to death for his rebellion against the crusading
warlords.
Wulmars bloody tortured body was tied to the stake and
contemned to the flames by the head of the Order
himself….and even as the heretic prince promised
bloody revenge from beyond , his own wife and children
were thrown upon the flames.
But Wulmar being consumed by the flames didn’t end the
crusading infamy…the head of the order took great glee
in turning the skies black with smoke from the
heretics and heathens he engulfed for God....even
Christian brothers began to speak of the “devil in
that castle ” as the head of the orders brutality
increased.
In the end God had the last say in the matter of this
chapter of infamy…the head of the order himself burnt
to death in strange circumstances much to the relief
of all(including his order) and with the crusades
moving well north the castle became simply part of the
network of castle in the Royal kingdom…
Until the days of Good King Edward and his raging war
against the pretender Edamt.
This war was fought with pike and shot rather than the
crusader steel …and this time the castle itself was
engulfed....Under siege, the loyalist castle suffered
for almost 2 years under a myriad of horrors. The cold
, sickness and famine killed more than the attacking
army as the siege crawled on….as the crisis of famine
became extreme, a strange answer came in the form of a
dream to the captain in command of the castle….
I smelt the burning flesh and as it crackled my
stomach growled with hunger…then I heard a voice from
heaven tell me to indulge on those who had cause us so
much pain…
The defending loyalist soldiers dined on not the dead
but on the prisoners they had captured in the numerous
attempts to storm the castle. The sound of the screams
of those roasted alive along with the laughter of the
banqueting defenders was heard all along
the siege line….
When the relief army finally arrived and broke the
siege, what it found horrified them so deeply that
dozens of the loyalist defenders were put to death by
their own relief column…evidence of the horrific acts
of cannibalism and dark arts led to the defending
captain being impaled alive on the castle walls rather
than receiving the garlands of victory…
Tormented love died within the walls years after, as the most
famous crown princess refused to give up his pregnant metahuman
lady love and flung himself from the parapets …while
his father watched…in rage that his son would defy him even
unto death with the secret of his loves name , his father
had every woman that could have been ‘his lady’ thrown
from the towers in order that “any child he conceived
would die also, rather than mongrel the royal blood”
In the years that followed , Good Kings and bad kings
passed on …..
Many avoided the castle but one with a unwholesome
fetish for morbidity and all the characteristics of a
jackal…he had a special lust for the castle, and on
arriving there always took himself more than one of
the local girls…taking delight in terrifying them
inside the castle…many the stories of girls thrown
from the towers or found brutalized in the rooms…Of
course being married he had to eventually return to
his capital and wife( a lavenrunz princess no less)
but every year he made a special homage back to his
‘country retreat’….many the poor woman who was left in
a cell waiting 12 months for her terror to return…
Time flows on and from being the keep of Royal
sadists, to become regular place of special
imprisonment for the enemies of the crown…..many
traitors and spies were impaled upon its walls or hung
in its courtyard… something about the black stone
walls made the place always one of dire deeds…from
murder to tormented love…all has occurred within her
walls..
In recent years it has become the home for prisoners
of the ministry of social order…dark tales still spew
from it…tales of torture, rape and mutilation…Patrick Iesus is even said to be inprisoned within the black walls...
And it is here that the trucks carrying the priests, seminarians and religious arrived…

Well, I've always been on the verge of declaring another war with Iesus because he's just become that Nemesis to me (even though I've done a good chunk of the evil stuff...Even though I still claim I was 'rescuing' his leader from an immenent assassination plot....and even though he doesnt see me as much of a threat : P )...so...I tend to follow anything to do with him, just to look for a chance to send in an insertion team to spy on him and possibly wreak havoc.
Oops, probably shouldnt have declared my national policy like that...

"No talking!"
The guard captain cracked his baton over the shoulders of the whimpering seminarian.
"Separate them! Female religious are in section X. all others are in ‘down below' MOVE 'EM.....now!"
The guard captain barked at his troopers...sending them into a frenzy of man handling and brutality against the newly arrived prisoners....but before long the male prisoners found themselves deep within the tunnels below the castle...locked within urine and blood stained cells.
Bridgette personally watched the prisoners being dragged away from inside one of the ancient towers...and took more than alittle glee in it.
In recent times she had taken a fancy to the ‘devils den' and now it functions as sort of base of operations for her more personal taskforces within the ministry.
She hummed softly to herself happy at the days work...of course everything wasn't perfect...the church could still be a issue and Matthew...the control on him appeared to be slipping..but over all things were right on target.
Bridged turned on the view screen and smirked as General Ribwort came ‘online' "news on our boss yet?"
...Today...a horror has befallen my brothers and sisters in christ....but yet what more fitting day than corpus christi for these brave children of God to be taken prisoner! What more glorious day for their sacrifice than the feast of our lords body and blood!
.....if the government dare shed their blood...let them know it shall become one with christs....the blood of a new and everlasting freedom....
Cardinal Patrick McCullum, homily at ‘our lady of Iesus Christi ' church . Feast of Corpus Christi.
Maire looked out the window overlooking the private garden. Christian, with his dark hair so much like his father's, was playing with a small tabby kitten. He dangled a piece of brightly coloured ribbon before the tabby then pulled it away as tiny paws tried to catch it. Christian laughed the laugh of a young boy on the verge of manhood, unaware of the horrors of the world...the uprisings in The Reich. Maire felt a surge of happinesss and joy in her heart for Matthew's son followed by a fierce protectiveness that only a mother knows. He wasn't made out of steel like his father but there was always time. Time for him to become like his father for soon her kingdom would pass into Christian's hands.
Maire turned away from the window and walked to her desk littered with her personal files. She knew of what was happening to the Roman Catholic priests in Iesus Christi. She felt no pity for them. Her range of compassion only went so far as to touch the lives of her family and her closest advisors.
Holding up a flimsy sheet of paper she read of the latest roundups in Iesus Christi. She was assesing the situation when her concentration was broken by Christian's laughing voice.
"Mum, Mum...come here. I want you to see something..."
Maire slowly put the paper down.
Something had to be done about the Roman Catholics in HARU. And soon.
"Mum!"
She filed her thoughts on the religious situation away for later consideration.
Dealt with. Soon
"I'm coming, luv. "
She put on her best cheerful smile and walked into the garden towards her beautiful son.

Bridgette stood in the lower chapel of the castle reading the inscription upon the tomb....
"Marvellous Star, here lies Duke Godfrey
pagans terror, Putter to flight of arabs and scatter of heathens
Though elected king, king he would not be, nor crowned
For he was ‘slave of Christ'
His was the care to restore Zion her rights
As a catholic he faithfully followed the sacred dogmas of right and equality
Thus also with the saints could he deserve a diadem
O Armies valour! The peoples strength! The clergys anchor!"
She lifted her eyes from the inscription as Robard entered...
"sorry to disturb you Ma'am..."
Bridgette nodded "my father brought me here asa child you know. Would do my nephew a world of Good i'm sure.....A great crusader this man was....at home and abroad...unlike that parasite I spawned..." Bridgettes voice trailed off....
"anyhow..." Robard cut in to pretend the drift "all is ready. Section commanders have been informed..all good loyal men...are we good to go? And I was wondering...how much does ‘he' know?"
"We are good to go, and of course HE doesn't know anything... this is for his benefit and for those other simpletons... sometimes Robard you are obtuse..."
Robard took the insult in his stride "as you say Ma'am. Well all is ready"
The Ministry official lead the interrogation, behind him two inquisitors watched...
The priest had been question for hours, and now the ministry investigator was taking the investigation to the next level,in direct violation of orders from Matthew Iesus. The two inquisitors had protested, quoting government orders for treatment of religious but the signed order from bridgette quieted them quickly...
"Confess! Confess......you didn't sign the oath because you are a spy...a spy for Rome ...isn't that true? " With a nod from the official, electricity surged through the priest via the attached electrodes "Confess traitor priest! Confess!".
Gasping for breath the priest spat out "no..."
"Liar!......you are in league with foreign spies! You are in league with the government of North star arnt you? You are a member of a anti Islamist group arnt you? You have taken aid from the government of North Star haven't you? You are planning a attack with their aid arnt you? A biological or nerve attack.....yes..? answer me! Answer!"
The two Inquisitors looked on with shock, the accusation was wild and total nonsense....what they were watching wasn't aimed at getting a confession but was conditioning a response...
"Mummy!!!..look what kitty did to me."
Christian 's eyes filled with tears as he held out his pale hands towards his mother.
Red scratches criss crossed the pale flesh of Christian's arms. Maire gently grasped her sons hands and kissed his wounds.
"There. Feel better?"
"Y-yes, Mum. Thank you." Christian flung his arms around Maire's neck and held her tight. Over his shoulder Maire glanced at the kitty who was now clawing furiously at her rose bushes in the south west corner of the garden.
"Christian, why do you play with a cat that hurts you?" Maire whispered in her son's ear.
Christian pulled away, a defensive look in his eyes. "He wasn't hurting me. We were playing. And then he just turned on me. I don't know why...I was nice to him..." his voice began to tremble as his explanations turned into jagged crying. "It wasn't my fault!" he wailed.
"Christian, Christian, calm down. I am not accusing you. You are not on trial. I am accusing that cat." She pointed a long slim finger in the direction of the cat who continued to paw the rose bushes with impunity.
Christian eyes followed his mother's gaze. He stared at the kitty but said nothing. Maire could hear him breathing rapidly but at least he had stopped crying.
"Christian, my love...sometimes things look pretty on the outside but are not so pretty on the inside. That cat might look playful but you never know when it might strike out at you. You must remember this about people as well."
Maire absent mindedly fingered the scar on her left cheek. Christian had seen pictures of his mother when she was younger, a stunning beauty who won the heart of Matthew Iesus, his father. Despite the scar that marked her pale white skin he thought his mother was the most beautiful woman on the planet. She had never told him how she had gotten that scar and something inside him told him not to ask.
"You simply cannot always trust what looks good on the outside." his mother continued.
" You mean like Elves?" Christian asked.
'Why yes, my love. A very good example. Remember that now. Learn well from this lesson. Now run upstairs and ask Nanny to put some antiseptic on your arms."
Christian kissed his mother's right cheek..it was an unconcious habit to never kiss the marred cheek...and ran off.
Maire sat for a moment in the warm sun. Thoughts raced through her mind. Something simply had to be done about Christian. He was too much like his Uncle Patrick who had gone too soft for the liking of Aunt Brigitte. Last Maire heard, Patrick was locked up in some god-forsaken cell in the bowels of Iesus Christi. No, Christian must turn out more like his father...or herself. A trip to visit Brigitte was in order.
She put these thoughts aside and considered the situation with the religious in HARU...The Reich, for that matter. She was, after all, The First Lady of The Reich. She had fought hard for that position and she wasn't about to let a religious civil war split The Reich in two.
It had been a long time since Maire felt the warm sun on her shoulders. Her hair was still red and her body still firm but she was getting older. The wrinkles around her eyes testified to that fact. Sitting on the stone bench, she pulled a small black phone from her interior breast pocket.
"Sebastian."
"Yes, your excellency. Right here."
"There are some matters of grave importance we need to discuss. Gather the others and meet me in the West Garden in fifteen minutes. The files you will need are on my desk. Bring them with you."
Sebastian, Maire Haru's top personal advisor and a Fransican monk felt a pang of fear. He was aware of what was happening to religious in Iesus Christi. He steadied himself and took a deep breath hoping that Maire did not hear it. She had extrodinary instincts.
"Yes, your excellency."
Sebastian cut off the connection with a shudder.
Maire clicked her phone closed and calmly walked over to the cat who was now digging a hole in the loose dirt that surrounded the herb patch. She kneeled down looking as if she might be about to pray.
"Here kitty, kitty....."
The cat briefly looked around then went back to its work.
Maire's eyes turned from their usual blue to a steel grey. If the cat wouldn't come to her she's go to it. She carefully walked across the short distance between her and the cat being careful not to tread on her herb garden. When she was close enough to smell the cat she swiftly reached out and grabbed it by the collar. The cat twisted and squirmed scratching and howling in her arms. She felt no pain.
"Shhhhh....good kitty...."
She held it until it calmed down. Then she took it's fragile neck and twisted it in one swift cracking movement. The cat dug it's claws into the soft flesh of her upper arms. She flinched but held on tight. There was a a barely audible popping sound as its neck broke in two. Then its body went limp. Rivulets of blood trickled down her arms. With a soft grunt she flung the cat away from her. It landed near the bushes. The incident took no more than five minutes.
Maire sat down on the bench again wiping the sweat away from her eyes and the blood from her arms. She took out her phone once more.
"Sebastian? You have informed the others of our meeting I presume?"
"Yes, my lady."
"Good." She paused a moment. Sebastian knew that tone of voice, cool as ice. He had heard it a thousand times over in his service to Maire Haru; he still got uneasy whenever she spoke in that manner.
"There is a cat...Christian's cat...lying near the bushes on the south side of the garden. Have August come down right now and despose of it. "
She clicked the phone closed and relaxed. Under her breath she hummed the tune of Au Claire de la Lune as she waited for the meeting to start.

"priest...you planned to kill Mullar Yosef when he meet with Matthew didnt you.....you plan to wage a war on Islam and Chirst? a war on Iesus and the people of North Star? Lavenrunz paid you ...yes....the whore empress and the fool sultan...?"
The brownshirt watched as the priest passed out from the pain..."go get another one! HURRY UP..."
Kneeling in their filthy cell, Father Hunt lead the gathered men in prayer
"Most sweet Jesus...I will not refuse the cross. I accept it. I embrace it. I accept in particular the death you have destined for me....with all the pains that may accompany iy....I unite it to your death, I officer it to you...You have died for love of me...with your grace I will die for love of you..
We adore thee Oh Christ...and bless you...because by thy holy cross you have redeemed the world..."
Sister in Christ Maire...
I was talking with Matthew recently and it occured to me t'he lad' hadnt seen much of his fathers colourful and peaceful land...
Perhaps it is time for him to see Iesus...
Pax
'B'
"Yes, you heard me correctly...Christian's cat....yes the tabby...How the hell should I know?! Just a little FYI, she's down there." Sebastian looked out the window overlooking the garden. "She's humming again... I know. Godspeed, brother. Bye."
Muttering under his breath about Maire Haru and her ceaseless demands August clicked his phone shut. He the turned to the task at hand: getting Maire's files down to the garden and then...the meeting. He strode over to Her Excellency's desk quickly scanning the files she had requested.
Religious situation in HARU...where are you? Very aware of the time or lack thereof, Sebastian rifiled through several folders on the littered desk.
Ahhh there they were, in a black folder marked with the familiar sign of the cross. As he grabbed them, preparing to put them into his briefcase, some flimsy sheets fell out of the folder. Not wanting to but unable to control himself, Sebastian picked them up and glanced through them. A feeling close to panic passed through his body: the copies Her Excellency had were different than his own. She had made notes in the margins:
"Patrick Maloney, father of four, Ministry of Intelligennce...possible leader of insurrection against Reich-Romans..."
"Pros of creating a Reich-Rome..."
"Matthew head of Reich Rome..."
"Centralized power..."
"Bombing in Christ's Cross..."
When Sebastian renounced his life as a drunkard... a whore master... a biker, he embraced the Roman Catholic Church with all his heart. He was at his very core a Fransican monk. Was it all for naught? Being Maire Haru's confidant, her personal advisor, would not leave him immune to her policies if she did vote in favor of a Reich Rome. For one brief fleeting moment, August thought of turning tail and running...get out of HARU...flee to the safety of The Holy Vatican See...
His thought were interrupted by the sudden silence that permated the warm spring air. Maire had stopped humming. For a second he thought that he would turn and see Maire standing behind him...watching him standing like a little boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
He quickly shoved the papers back into their proper folder and put them in his case. He turned; Maire was not there...only the empty bedroom, the silk drapes fluttering in the afternoon breeze the only witness to his actions. He rushed out the door almost tripping over his cassock in the process.
In the hallway leading to the back garden Sebastian stopped to calm down. Taking a few deep breaths he muttered, "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me." He and Maire had often said these same words, their mantra, in the days of Maire infiltrating Iesus Christi and later Matthew's heart.
Everything will be okay he told himself as he stepped from the gloomy shadows of the mansion into the dazzling summer sunshine.
"Sebastian, I was beginning to wonder if you had gotten lost. Everything okay, yes?"
"Yes, Your Excellency, I..." he stopped short to let August pass into the mansion. He was carrying a sack. "I...," he stopped again as August's
package touched his arm. It was warm. Sebastian suddenly had a feeling that he might be sick. "I was just gathering your requested files.."his voice faded into whisper as he discreetly, he hoped, put his hand to his mouth.
"Come come now, Sebastian...speak up. What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Maire smiled directly into his eyes. She stuck out her tongue and ran it across her bottom lip waiting for him to answer.
"Excuse me, Your Excellency, I have everything you requested right here." He rummaged in his briefcase pulling out Maire's files. He steadied himself and walked towards her to whatever fate she had planned for the religious of HARU.
