News today out of United Indiastan suggests that early this morning, after a meeting with reigning Empress Amea, Indiastani Chancellor Akmehd Desai has been fired from his position for dereliction of duty, to be replaced by the current Defence Minister, Aaric Clerebold. The move was brought about after Ahkmehd's reported bungling of the upcoming military induction and drilling, where he was reportedly entrusted by the Empress to organize a show of force for the populace, to showcase the latest developments in military hardware that are assuring thier safety. The Chancellor apparently took this to mean "whip people into a frenzy," and so used his prodigious oratry skills to demonize an appropriate target, in this case the Republic of Syskeyia. It is unclear if the tensions here will result in a delay of the planned military exercises or not. -AP

My commendations to you for your swift action in regard to the aforementioned Chancellor. His ill-advised, inflammatory and provocative speech placed the alliance in a bad position on the international front. You showed great wisdom in removing him from office and standing down from a diplomatically untenable position.
