Diplomatic Mission Invitation Extended [ATTN: HVS]

Scandavian States
10-06-2004, 04:56
Dear Pope Leo XIV,

It is with a glad heart that I extend to you an invitation to open an official embassy within the Imperium. The Emperor is of the opinion that you are the only Pope in the world worthy of the title and therefor the only one fit to be represented within his nation. The Imperium would extend every courtesy to your representative should you choose to accept this invitation.

If you do so choose, we offer you an embassy in either Alexandria or New Copenhagen. The former is the provincial capital and the latter is the imperial capital. New Copenhagen offers proximity to the Emperor himself while Alexandria offers the largest density of Christians anywhere in the Imperium.

Sincerely,
Asiya Saleh,
Dutchess Alexandria,
Director of Foreign Services

Scandavian States

Your Excellency,

The Holy Father is pleased to receive the Scandavian States' request to initiate diplomatic relations, and shares your hope for congenial dialogue.

We would be greatly obliged if your office would undertake appropriate preparations to receive Bishop Eric Comenius, Papal Legate to the Scandavian States, and his staff of three. In addition, a temporary transition crew of three will accompany the Archbishop to assist in locating and preparing appropriate residences and offices for the Legation. The crew will be under the supervision of the Legation Secretary, Sister Louise McAnders, and we would be grateful for whatever assistance your staff can render in facilitating these matters.

Bishop Comenius and his staff will be leaving Rome on the ____th, and stopping overnight in Brussels. They will be arriving in New Copenhagen in on InterAir Flight 921. Since the purpose of the mission is primarily diplomatic, we feel that this is the most appropriate location.

We hope that you will, in turn, appoint a representative in Rome, and inform us of the name and arrival of that individual. We will endeavor to provide appropriate assistance in finding accommodations in the City.

We look forward to a productive and edifying dialogue between the Scandavian States and the Holy See.

With goodwill in Christ,

+ Carlo Giovanni Cardinal Angelini
Secretary of State
Secretariat of the Holy See
