Recently, many outdoor enthusiasts in TGB have discovered that the current GPS system is inadequate for their needs. Campers, Geocachers, hunters, and fishermen are getting lost due to poor reception, inaccurate coordinates, and other navigation equipment errors. Therefore, TGB officials have put together a proposal to create, launch, and activate a new worldwide network of GPS sattelites. These satellites will remain in stationary orbit (over unoccupied territory, in the event someone does not like them orbiting over their country), will be able to cover every spot on the planet, and will be significantly more powerful than the current GPS network. TGB will be able to communicate with the satellites, to correct the signal if necessary, to run diagnostics, and to alter their orbit if the need arises.
TGB officials state that while they are ready to foot the bill for the benefit of the entire planet, they wouldn't refuse help (money, reasearch, or launch facilities) from any other responsible nation.
