The outline for the 16th World Cup, as proposed in the Raptor Claw/Krytenia is as follows:

Qualifying: 120 teams will participate in qualifying, playing in fifteen groups, each containing 8 teams. Should signups be over-subscribed, the Baptism Of Fire (and, if applicable, the Colony Cup) will be used to pre-qualify teams. The KPB System will determine seedings.

Finals: The current RL format will be retained, with 8 groups of four followed by a knockout tournament. Each nation will host four groups, four last 16 games, two quarter-finals and one semi-final. Krytenia will host the third-placed game, Raptor Claw the final.

Score Generation: Leagion if made available, otherwise using a spreadsheet system. NO VOODOO DICE!

RP Bonus: RPs will be split into four scoring categories:
RPs of less than 100 words will receive 0.25 RP Points.
RPs of 100-250 words will receive 0.50 RP Points.
RPs of 250-500 words will receive 0.75 RP Points.
RPs of more than 500 words will receive 1.00 RP Points.

Additional quarter points will be given to RPs that in the opinion of the hosts are exceptional due to innovation, humour, satire etc.

AOB: Any further questions, please post here and we'll answer.

Sorry to be a damp blanket, but Raptor Claw is hardly a veteran, and I SERIOUSLY doubt your COMBINED hosting abilities. Try for the CoH, seriously.

Do I detect a hint of fear in your voice, LE?

The problem is you guys' relative inexperience.

I understand, but, hey, it's not like we're going to be kicked out of WC16 if the bid fails, so if we miss out, we miss out.
Besides, what we lack in "experience", we make up for in eagerness and readiness to make WC16 the biggest and best ever!

in fact, we're SO eager, we posted twice.

NO VOODOO DICE!
And just what are you implying with that? :P

Question: If 127 teams sign up, how will the BoF/CC be used to narrow the qualifiers down to 120 teams?

Can't we just win because we have a cool logo?

Question: If 127 teams sign up, how will the BoF/CC be used to narrow the qualifiers down to 120 teams?

Good question. If there is oversubscription, these two tournaments will be played between the last X debutants/puppets to sign up. "X" will be a number - either 8, 16, 24, or 32 - which is high enough to cover the surplus.
If there are not enough of one of these to create a tournament of sufficient size, then the other tournament will be made a little larger to compensate.
Also, if it is an odd number oversubscribed, the extra qualifying place is meade available through the BoF Cup.

EG: 127 teams sign up. That's 7 too many! 8-team BoF/CC set up. This means only 111 teams now are assured a place. The other nine qualifying berths will then go to:
A) The best 5 teams in the BoF (four semi-finalists, thired-placed group stage team with best record)
B) The best 4 teams in the CC (ie the semi-finalists).

Why dont we just use the same system they are going to use that one is bad because what about teams that want to play in BoF anyway?

Ohh...Godd point RC. Actually, KP appears to be automatically entering teams for the BoF - so disregard the above for now.

Plus You can't do the Top 5, thats why I think they had a good idea in doing the Top 8, if all the new teams are entered, just take whoever makes it to the quarter finals and they get entered into the group draw for WCQ, as well as finish out to bof to see who is champ of that

That has to be AT LEAST the fourth time I've seen someone use that picture for one of their stadiums. Bid looks solid though.

Hmmm, actually, there is a 4th bid, just no thread up yet.

Interesting suggestions by all, and please quit trying to trash each other. Let the bid be decided on the merits of the bid, not how well you can put down each bid.
