Official Statement by the Allanean Minister of Education

Today, the Allanean Ministry of Educaion, together with Congress and Senate, decided to allow 500 million Allanean dollars, annually, for the sponsoring of an annual Science Fiction, Role-Playing, and Anime convention, known as Allaneacon, to be run in Port-Allanea. Aready know, major metal and filk bands are being negotiated with for the convention.

Pavel Nikolsky, the Allanean Presidential Advisor, will speak to the convention in the absence of the Allanean President.

It is projected that over 15,000 people will come to the convention, potentially far more.

Goths, Pagans, and any other Non-Mainstream people are invited as well.

At the current moment, any booths and shops at the convention grounds are exempt from income tax.

Muktari nerds and techies will flock to the convention. Those who RP in forums are insistent that the most infamous hacker in Muktar, Breeder, will be present.

Sino's major game programmer, Laojiu Systems would like to hold a booth to promote its latest RTS games Sino's Army: Last Hopes and its latest combat flight simulation release- J-10 Pilot.

as the convention got underway, 25,000 Koreans flooded in to the area. MacroSoftware, UKNs biggest Software corporation has brought along "Combat Strike III: F-92 Narwhale over Haruna" the latest of the UKN's popular Combat Strike Air Combat games.

Ximea's own Lord Commander, Teflon Don, will attend so long as he may be armed and may travel with two armed bodyguards. The Lord Commander gives his solemn word that he will provoke no violence within the borders of Allanea.

In addition, much of the Lord Commander's cabinet and at least two hundred civilians are making plans to attend the event.

Ximea: Certainly, you Lord Commander may be armed. The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is a basic right observed by the Allanean government.

OOC: Just what the hell happened to the good old meat grinder days of C&C, that's what I look for in an RTS. For example, C&C: Generals is a good title. Even if it wasn't made by Westwood, it still kicks ass!

It is widely believed that 200 priests from the Theocracy of the Holy Word will be turning up to picket the convention and try and turn it's attendees onto the word of the Shining One. :wink:

Dear Sirs,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you all on the forthcoming Allaneacon event. It's a proud day when a people join together to promote the arts and education within a nation, and it pleases me to see the government of Allanea joining together for this monumental event.

For the past 5 years, LeetGames Unlimited (under the guidance of President Sirius Lee Leet) has provided SLAGLanders throughout the land with the finest of role-playing experiences. This flexible system, the D-Unlimited, has since been modified to accomodate any number of table-top role-playing scenarios, from modern crime drama to swords-and-sorcery fantasy to science fiction to hard-boiled 1930's noir.

Later this year, LeetGames will be pleased to release Edition 2 of its popular Heroes of the Ether sourcebooks. Chronicling the struggles of warriors of all types throughout time, Heroes of the Ether is a fantasy-based role-playing setting that has outsold all other D-Unlimited RPGs by a margin of nearly 3 to 1.

For this reason, LeetGames Unlimited would like to request a spot at Allaneacon so that we may debut this remarkable new system to the world. We require something a bit larger than a typical kiosk, as we expect to present the following items:

* Main kiosk for information on and introduction to the D-Unlimited system, with an informational video playing in the background.
* Six (6) picnic-sized tables to accommodate role-playing demonstrations by LeetGames staff.
* A kiosk-sized display of art based on the Heroes of the Ether role-playing game, including paintings, charcoal drawings, sculpture, and even suits of armour stylized like this in the game.
* A small stage for a large-scale presentation of the system. If this cannot be provided, we will gladly pay an extra fee to purchase time on the main stage.

If you have any questions or concerns about our needs, please don't hesitate to ask.
