In the capital city of Alagal, Siegfried Bauer, the president, boarded the A.N.S. Thomas Jefferson, the flagship of the Alagali navy. It was small by international standards, a corvette, but was the largest ship in the navy.

"These Allaneans seem commited to the same ideals we are. I'm sort of skeptical- they don't have any social welfare at all, which is kind of odd, but they are the closest to us we have found in the world community." "Yes, I know." said the Foreign Manager, Cassandra Diederich. "I'm looking forward to meeting their leader, [Insert name here]. I've heard he's quite a character." "Yes," Bauer said as he and Kappel waved as the ship departed from the deck. It was to be accompanied by the A.N.S. John Locke, a patrol boat.

In Port Allanea

"I hear this Bauer person wants to visit us", said Pavel Nikolski, Allanea's Presidential Advisor.

"Unfortunately, President Kazansky is out of the country at the moment. I will go out and visit him, " said the old man.

"Ready me the ships"

The John Dingell aircraft carrier is readied to go out from Port-Allanea and meet Bauer. It is escorted by the submarines Charlton Heston and Aissur .

A small raft was launched out from the Thomas Jefferson, and aboard it where three aides, his foreign minister, and him.

They went up to the John Dingell and were hauled aboard. "We have been informed that [insert name here] is unable to come. It's quite a pity, I must say, although I have confidence in [insert name here]'s man... Nikolski, isn't it?" said Bauer.

"Pavel Nikolski, Sir."
"Nice ship you got there. Tell me, have you ever been to Allanea before? Oh, probably not. That's a pirty. Well, I'm sure you'll enjoy this stay."

"Yes, it is quite a pity. Now, may we speak to this Nikolski character?" said Bauer.

"Hello. There wouldn't happen to be a meeting room aboard this vessel, would there be?" he said, the man whose thirtieth birthday was coming up in a few months taken slightly aback by the man twice his age- he was a man very much concerned with the passage of time, with the procession of aging.

"Obviously. Let's proceed"

The John Dingell's meeting room is a spacious place rigged up with various high-quality electronics, including a SmartBoard.

"Welcome, Mr. President", says one of the naval officers on board the Dingell. "As you see, Allanea's military electronics are cutting-edge".

"Yes, our nation's main industry is information technology. This looks impressive, not quite as good as the Jefferson though." said Bauer with a smile. "So, how should we begin?"

"I suggest that certain economic measures would benefit both our nations, Mr. Bauer.

As you know, we're building a large LAN network for our military. Are there any companies in your nations ready to subcontract for us?

OOC: Sorry for the delay. Looking through your posts, we see that the Accord has an off-site forum. May we join the forum?

IC: "Well, we have many companies. Liberty Software is the largest, followed closely by Mass Software and Schneider Software Systems. If you like, we could relay the request to all software companies within Alagal."

"Better relations, and a new ally. As a small nation, it never hurts to have allies. As any nation, in fact, it never hurts to have allies. Our nation seems to have much in common with you, and we thought you would be a logical first step."

OOC: May we join the Accord forums?

"Great! I suggest we proceed to establish embassies in our respective capitals. Maybe a laxer visa regime?"

OOC: Feel free!

"Well, our visas could not be more lax, really: We very rarely deny any visa applications, as long as they show no indication of being a danger to society. As for embassies, we would be glad to have an embassy in Allanea."

OOC: I'm going to go and do it now.

"Good. It shall be done, then. However, I was thinking of a free-travel region, like some nations have already establsihed."

OOC: Like the EU.

"That would be excellent, and help foster our developing alliance."

OOC: It's done, but it said that you need to validate me.
