OOC: Just want to try something different for a change... don't worry LOTI LETI members, I'm not permanantly going future tech, just this RP
IC:
*A small, brown, boxy craft, only about a 100 yards long and 30 yards across, cruises silently through space, its voyage lasting a little over 80 years now has been un-eventful. The main computers had taken care all of the functions of the space craft, Navigation, Cryo-Stasis, Engine Controls, etc etc.
The computer, buzzing through its daily routines of algorythms and subroutines hits one that hadn't been run before. The computer starts to whir up as the lights in side the ship come one, one by one, systems that hadn't been run for 80 years buzz back to life. Oxygen is flooded back into the main compartment and the heaters are turned on.
After a little over 10 minutes the lids on the ships 30 cryo units raise up, revealing the sleeping passengers in them. Slowly one by one, the people in the beds begin to stir and finaly, the first person sits up and swings out of bed, her feet land on the still bitterly cold floor. The girl is Dr. Liana Shostov, she is 30 years old as far as she is concerned, and the floor is cold, she runs over to the navigators chair and checks the co-ordinates of where they are, a few moments later she is joined by Dr. Ian Shostov, her older brother*
Ian: Where we at sis?
Liana: *plugging numbers into the computer* Exactly where we should be... 40 light years from earth......
Ian: Wow, I can't believe we made it.
Liana: I know...
