The Tempest of hyperspace was great, and thier journey was long, but it was over. The door was open, no turning back. The door was metaphorically destiny, but phsyically, it was the jumpgate the five massive Vorlon colony ships exited just outside inhabitied space. After more than a half-century of thier absence, a small number of Vorlon had chosen to come home. Nobody understood why they came back, all they would give as an answer for years later was "Understanding is a three edged sword" as far as a Vorlon is concerned, that is good enough.

The Vorlon colony ships, while massive, carried no weapons. Fearing that they migth be the targets of stellar piracy, a Vorlon was chosen to speak for them all. He was Kosh, and they all were Kosh. The hologram of his encounter suit was transmitted across subspace, to all that were in range, asking for diplomatic contact. part of his transmission also explained thier need for protection, and insinuated that those that aided them would greatly benefit when the time came.

OOC: I'm looking for alliances to get my new nation off to a great start. All future tech nations feel free to RP diplomacy. Those familiar with the Vorlons from babylon 5 will understand how they can benefit from an alliance. even if you are not familiar, feel free to open relations. until my nation is either adaqutely protected by allies, or big enough to fight on it's own, i'm going to have to ignore attacks. sorry, but it just wouldn't be fair.

OOC: Allright, sounds good. There aren't enough B5 fans around here anyway!

IC: "Sir, you'd better come look at this," came the voice from Captain Jack Bruce's comm.
"Allright, Felix, I'll be right up." The Captain had been attending to some papers in his office aboard the NRN Darkness, a destroyer in a fleet sent by the Nitro Records government to the outer reaches of their occupied space.
When he got to the bridge, Jack saw a hologram of a strange alien life form.
Felix Pappalardi, the comm officer, explained. "It seems that a previously undiscovered alien race is looking for allies. This is some pretty advanced hologram technology they have."
Ginger Baker, the sensor officer, piped up. "Captain, their ships are coming into sensor range. Looks like five colony ships, not armed. They seem nice enough."
Jack thought for a moment. "Tell them that as it stands, we accept their offer of diplomacy. Also, we are willing to offer protection from pirates or anyone else that may attempt an attack on their ships." This was entirely inside the parameters of the mission, as their instructions were to investigate anything interesting out here on the fringe.

The hologram looked up and it's symphony of voices came from it. The computer translated, in typical Vorlon curtness "Darkness, we will send an ambassador, we have much to discuss" The hologram then winked out.

From the colony ship at the Point of the formation, a small pod exited from it's underside, and sailed toward the Darkness

Captain Jack Bruce became aware of the pod on the scanners. "I'm going down there to meet the ambassador, Lieutenant Drake, come with me. You have the most experience in first-contact situations. Let's get some security down there too."
"Yes, sir," replied Lieutenant Dennis Drake. And they went on their way, eager to meet the ambassador.

OOC: I can think of one situation similar to this one where Drake would have been useful. You have seen "In The Beginning", right? I would expect someone who bases their nation around B5 to have seen the movies.

OOC: i didn't think i was, my first clue was the number of "vorlon" names already taken. i had to try like 50 times.

After landing, the side of the ship itself seemed to quiver and distort, as a hole opened up in the side of the small vessel. Out of the door Walked the TVK ambassador, Ulkesh, The Glowing eye of his encounter suit surveyed the room and the people nearby.

As they watched the Vorlon exit his ship, Felix whispered, "I think this may be organic technology. They're more advanced than I thought."
Nodding at the ambassador, the captain said, "Hello. I'm Captain Jack Bruce, and this is Lieutenant Felix Pappalardi. Pleased to meet you. Shall we begin our talks?"

ooc: Apparently, Vorlons never come alone... I wait ages for one to show up, and now there are entire hordes <.<

Though your backstory is apparently slightly different from mine/ Vorlon Prime's (The first ones never let, and the last war was won by the shadows (according to our significant population differences

Far away, at the rim of known space, The Eye watched upon the galaxy, countless people, countless species competing in the garden of chaos that was this galaxy... Their dream having come true.

Wierdens enslaved mind, searching fo threats, watching abandoned worlds, for they had noticed th ld threat spreading again...

And who knew, perhaps, they would grow faster than they expected...

The ways of destiny and fate, twisted and impossible to understand, the concience of the universe, watching...

As they watched the Vorlon exit his ship, Felix whispered, "I think this may be organic technology. They're more advanced than I thought."

A few minutes later, in the captains office. "We need star charts, we have not been in this galaxy for a long time... we need to find home"


OOC: @ z ha dum : out two stories can reconcile, my vorlons left with the others during the first migiration beyond the rim, and are now returning, and Prime's Vorlons stayed behind in the traditional Vorlon role.

"Here are charts of all the unoccupied space in this area. I don't know what you would look for in a home world, but there are many planets near here," said Captain Bruce.
Felix added, "When you choose a destination, we're still willing to give you protection on your way there."

The E.S.U.S. is a collective body of nations that remain their soverignty but ban together in military protection and Trade Alliances

The Ambassador examined the star charts through the cold gaze of his encounter suits eye. A small mechanical claw came from beneath his cloak and pointed at a planet most would only consider a barren rock. "Take us here. it is within range of our homeworld"

"what do you ask in return?"

"Allright, we will escort you to that planet. Will you be needing any recources or materials?" asked the Lieutenant.
"I think all that we would expect in return is intelligence on any other races or peoples that you come into contact with. I don't think there's much else we could ask from you," added the Captain.

OOC: Knowing the Vorlons, I wouldn't dream of asking them for technology type stuff. Or else... "Impudent!" "Arrghhh!" or something of the like.

[How near? If it's the same system, I'll pick it up...

Contact between two sets of Vorlons. I can see it now... "Why have you returned."
