After many years of faithful service with the current ships in the fleet the fleet is in need of remodelling and the use of newer designs. Below is a listing of the current changes and the future changes to the fleet.

Current Revisions-
Nuclear policy- Fleets are now to be alocated 8 nuclear weapons each instead of 4. This is to ensure that even if the ship carrying the task forces nuclear payload is destroyed the task force still has a nuclear detterent. Wolfpack units shall now be issued 2 nuclear torpedos or nuclear tipped cruise missiles.
Armor- Until the new ship models are commisioned all current ships(exlcuding the Intrepid class which already has this and battleships and missile ships which have more) will have 3/4th inches of steel plating bolted onto the sides of all ships to help protect them from enemy fire.

Future Revisions to be set in place within 10-20 years
Complete overhaul of the fleet except for current Carriers, missile ships, ASW ships and AA ships.(which have been continously upgraded with new armor and systems.)

Battleships- The new Romulus class battleship will replace the current Iowa battleships. Romulus will have increased belt armor, a sleeker design and more weapons and systems then the Iowa. It shall also be nuclear propelled and will have more point defense systems and will be more heavily automated then the Iowa.

Cruisers- The Ticonderoga will be replaced with a more heavily armed and armored battlecruiser capable and both anti fleet action and anti shore operations

Destroyers- The burke will be replaced with a heavy destroyer also capable of fleet engagements and shore operations but it will include a heavy engine allowing the destroyer to peform battle field tending on damaged ships before the support the ships can get into range.

Frigates- The Perry will be replaced with a new frigate designed to aid the missile ships in there fleet supression missions. The new frigates will feature advanced guidance and tracking systems and an increased number of missile silos and more heavy missiles.

Attack Subs- The LA and Virginia attack subs are to be replaced by a new class of sub that takes the best features of the two subs and the features of the new Lupine sub. The new subs will be larger then the lupine but will incorporate all of its internal steath systems(previously on LA and Virginia the caterpiallr drives were external.)

SSBN- In replacement of the Ohio class a larger, more steathy and efficient version will be introduced to the fleet.

IC: This project is expected to cost 3-5 trillion dollars and should be completed within 20 years at most. All large scale shipyards are being contracted to begin construction of the new models and the upgrades of the older models until the new ones become availible.
