The northern 40% of our nation is a flatland, and it is very vital to the survival of our nation for a number of reasons. The first reason is mostly symbolic because the city of Bradgate, which is our capital, is located on our northernmost border, almost within view of it, and is therefore vulnerable to attack. The other two reasons are more based on material facts. Every major industrial and agricultural area within our nation is located in the flatlands of the northern 40% of the country, making them just as vulnerable as our capital. People from this region work hard, but they like their civilization pure, thanks. Most of them are Atheists.
The other 60% of the nation is filled with mountains, the tallest of which is Mt. Akasha, which stands at over 29,000 feet, and has never been fully scaled. There aren’t any communities within this area with populations very far over 3,000 people. Anybody who’s ever visited this region will tell you it’s hard to find someone there without a Hunting Knife in their belts, and it’s equally hard to find someone older than 15 who doesn’t own a gun and know how to use it, including the ladies. People from this region are very rugged, can survive in tough times, and can make some truly excellent soldiers due to such skills. They are hard workers, and don’t trust those who aren’t. Most are mildly religious.
