Sag Arms Corporation Goes Private Sector
Previous Military-Only Hardware Now Available

CORSINGARD, KAUKOLASTAN – For decades, Sag Arms has provided the cutting edge weapons technology to the Kaukolastani Department of War and the elite Security Police of the nation. With the recent run of deregulation inside of Kaukolastan, the Sag Arms Corporation is now offering contracts to allied nations as well as Kaukolastani citizens.

Regarding this decision, Secretary of War Harris had this to say, “Well, it’s a matter of their own choosing. We have no problem with this legitimate company selling to legitimate buyers. Economic freedom is something we all prize. It’s not our business to tell them no with legitimate business.”

Already, hundreds of citizens have applied for the Level Three Permits needed to acquire the Sag Technology, which includes the N.01 Needler, called the “Buzz Saw” on the street. Local police chief Jeffery Bannon states, “Jesus Christ. There’s no need for that kind of firepower. A Needler is designed to cut a crowd in half. That’s all we need is gangs with that kind of weapon.”

But other police have a different view, like Sheriff Gregory Aston. “I think it’s fine. I mean, Level Three permits are hard to get. Any criminal record would discount you, and the waiting period is long. Plus, I don’t think gangs could afford these weapons.”

Sag Arms has provided high-end weapons for Kaukolastan since it was founded as a blacksmith’s guild in the fifteen-hundreds, and armed the Praetorian Guard of the Empire.

N.03 Needler Personal Defense Weapon - Built from a joint Armatech and Sag Industries concept, the design is simple in concept, but innovative in its creation. Small (2mm) micro-darts, or "needles", wrapped in a molded explosive, are fed from a clip just in front of the molded pistol grip. The first round is loaded, and when the trigger is pulled, a small spark (generated from the rear-inserted battery) strikes the explosive and detonates it. This fires the bullet through whichever of the three barrels is currently aligned. The vaccuum pulls the next round into the chamber, and the recoil is diverted to spin the next barrel into alignment. This in turn, charges the spark chamber, and triggers the next round. The current is checked by many sources, including a resistor plate over the clip, the removal of the trigger/primer, and an alignment groove on the barrels. In such a method, this gun fires at speeds of over sixty rounds per second.

With a flip of a switch, the clip falls away, and the tri-barrel assembly detatches. To load another assembly while the first cools, one must simply push the barrels into the receiving end and turn them, much like one loads bits into a drill. Armatech has incorporated many redundant current safeties into the gun to prevent misfire or misuse, including palm-coding and an overheat breaker that prevents firing into a fused barrel. Each of the 2mm "Needles" is made of Tungsten Carbide, designed to slide through armored vests, and this gives the gun it's nickname, the "Needler".

The clips are available in 30, 60, and 120 round variants, double-stacked. More could be loaded, but the barrels generally fuse at about 200 rounds continuous, and with the firing speeds, that is no time at all. This gun is designed for defense only, as it depletes its clip in under a second with 60 or less rounds. It is a guaranteed kill on the target, but in a multi-target engagement, the firing rate becomes a deficiency rather than a boon.

Sag-2 Assault Rifle - Based upon the Needler Premise, but refined for an offensive role. The clip runs horizontally over the top of the rifle, holding a double stacked one hundred round magazine of 6.8mm rounds encased in the block propellant. Upon loading vertically into the chamber, the chamber aligns with the barrel, and the spark triggers the firing sequence. As this happens, the chamber is thrown back vertical, to load the next round and fire it as well, and only after the second firing does the interupt catch and stop the action. The recoil stroke is compensated with a reciprocating barrel and an extended compression rod, allowing both rounds to fire before the recoil is felt. As such, the firer can land both shots in the same spot with ease.

The weapon fires in a two round burst as well as fully automatic. The two round burst, described above, cycles at 3600 rounds per minute, just as the N.03 PDW. On full automatic, the rifle uses the interupt to slow the bursts down, firing a sequence of volleys at 460 bursts per minute. The gun comes with an integrated four power scope, as well as mounts for an M320 Grenade Launcher.

Sag 34 ACR - This unique weapon is built around a bullpup design, with the twenty round clip located behind the the pistol grip. Each round is, like it's sister weapons, a caseless design, but this is by far the most powerful variant, firing a 7.92mm Fletchette with a much more powerful propellant charge. Inside of the case propellant is a small sabot, loaded with the heavy Tungsten Carbide Fletchette. Upon detonation, the sabot is rifled down the barrel, and upon leaving, splits and incinerates, leaving the powerful dart on a flat trajectory. This round will punch through any body armor it confronts, and some light vehicle armor.

After each round fired, the gun purges itself of the excess propellant residue, ejecting a cloud of dust from vent ports on the front of the gun. The barrel is extremely heavy, and cryo-treated to help it maintain integrity under the extreme conditions of firing. A muzzle brake is installed to reduce recoil, but this is still a powerful weapon. It comes with an integrated 3-12x variable scope.

Sag Needler Machine Gun (NMG) - Working from the premise of the Needler PDW, the NMG uses a large heat pump assembly to cool the barrels. Five barrels, inside of the heat frame, are used to bring the heat down to a sustainable level, allowing the NMG to fire for up to two minutes before overheat is reached. The NMG feeds from a belt, or an external resevoir, and is a heavy, mounted machine gun.

During uses, such as the Roanian Intervention, the NMG has been reported to function well in Anti-Personell, Anti-Material, and even Anti-Air roles. Some soldiers reported seeing the NMG actually cut an APC in half like a long range buzz saw, but this is unconfirmed.

Sag Assault Shotgun (ASG) - This is the standard shotgun of the Directorate Expeditionary Forces, and has many advantages over the conventional shotgun. The gun is built in a modified bullpup, with a thirty-two round cassette loaded behind the trigger assembly. Each of the shells is a brass twelve gauge cartridge, capable of firing .00 shot, rifled slugs, or a small contact explosive.

The gas operated shotgun is standard on semi-automatic, though some models do have a bipod and fire at automatic speeds. The bullpup design allows this weapon to maintain the small profile necessary for ease of use in urban combat, while also possessing the traditional shotgun effectiveness.

The brass cased, rifled slugs are accurate up to approximately 600 meters, allowing this shotgun to be used as an assault rifle in times of need, while recoil compensation systems make this weapon controllable. The standard model comes with a red dot scope. Powerful, accurate, controllable, and low profile, the ASG is a boon in any close combat situation.

Local Police Speak Out on New Weapons:

Officer Dalton, CPD - "These are quality firearms, no question about it. However, the molded explosive that Sag uses gives the weapons that peculiar blue-white muzzle flash. This is a problem, because apparently, street gangs have taken a liking to "Flashers" as they call them, and we've had three Needler shootings in the past week. Now, I think there needs to be some tougher licensing on these weapons, because they've become the latest street-fad. Also, I think that if the civilians can have them, the regular police should, too!"

Sergeant Opel, CPD SWAT - "Love these weapons. I've seen about six suspects give up since we got the Sag-2, just because they saw the blue flash. These are intimidation weapons as well as useful. The only problem is the dust-blow, which can set off asthma attacks on some people."

Officer Terrin, CPD SWAT Marksman - "The Sag 34 is a beautiful weapon. With no casings, I can take my shot without having to do cleanup afterwords. It's powerful, accurate, and with the right flash suppressor, the characteristic blue is gone. During a bank robbery, the robber's Level Two armor didn't even slow the dart down. I want to pick up a personal one of these for my target shooting."

Sag P3 "Inferno" - This pistol is another caseless design, chambered in 4.73mm. The pistol holds a double stack of twenty-four rounds. The entire assembly is match grade, with an accurized and extended barrel. The pistol comes with a fitted red-dot tactical scope.

The real unique aspect of the this pistol is the rounds. Each is a 4.73mm bullet with a soft tip and loaded with ammonium perchlorate and sulfur compound. Upon striking the target, the round hurls out an incidiary cone, burning about a square meter of target surface. The effect is very similar to an incidiary grenade. This is particularly designed to counter body armor. The round will penetrate into soft kevlar type armor before releasing it's lethal load, and will detontate on the surface of ceramics or metal, allowing the powder to slide between cracks. In either situation, the target suffers massive thrid degree burns and lethality is high.

Sag Commando - Designed as a halfway point between the N.03 and the Sag 2, the Commando is a shortened and lightened model of the Sag 2 Assault Rifle, but chambered for 2mm Needles. The weapon is set to a default of a five round burst (rather than two) firing at 3600 rounds per minute, all rounds firing before completion of recoil stroke, allowing pinpoint accuracy of the entire salvo.

The ammunition is stored in a double stack clip holding two hundred rounds. The gun is not capable of fully automatic fire, to reduce risk of overheat. Also, a heat pump is installed, and the gas vent also serves as a flow of air over the barrel. The gun is equipped with a four to eight power variable scope.

The Electro-Magnetic Sniper Rifle – The EMSR is the pinnacle of sniper weapons. Based around the principle of an invisible elimination method, the EMSR is not a firearm, but rather a directed energy pulse designed to overload the human biological systems.

The “clip” is actually a superconducting coil loop capacitor. Upon loading, the charge is dumped into the rifle’s internal loop, where it is held in stasis. When the trigger is pulled halfway (the charge sequence), the power is diverted to the magnetic rods along the barrel, which project a positive charge into the exterior faraday cage, and a negative field into the projector array. With complete pull of the trigger, a stream of negative ions is thrown from a rotating rod, entering the negative field “tunnel”. This acts as an accelerator, flinging a stream of highly charged ions from the gun.

Upon striking the target, the charge causes sudden heart failure, aneurisms, and nervous system shock. The charged stream is usually fatal under five hundred meters, though the effectiveness decreases exponentially beyond that point due to the stream being drawn away by positive charges in the environment.

The standard capacitor holds five shots, and fires at semi-automatic speeds. The aforementioned faraday cage protects the gun’s circuits from EM radiation. This gun also has EMP capabilities inside of five hundred meters range. Users have reported smelling ozone after firing this weapon, and there is a sharp flash and crack, although too brief to trace. Test subjects have had varying degrees of internal burns, and several burst into flame when shot.
