The Government of Shangia is forced to request help evacuating its citizens and asking for foriegn governments to open their borders to Shangian citizens as refugees due to the immendous natural disaster that has struck our a large nation.
All shangians must move south toward the equator with in the next 7 days.
Meantime, several Shangian cities were destroyed by earthquakes measuring 8.7 on the richter scale resulting in the deaths of 125 million shangians.
Three of our coastal cities including our capital have wiped out by massive tidal waves and our scientists report the worst is yet to come.

The Shangian government also seeks permission to set up a government in exile.

Just minutes ago reports came in that a massive earthquake measuring 7.2 on the richter scale has just completely wiped out the Shangian city of San Juacinto, causing the ground to open and swallow the city and all of its inhabitants. There is a large 5 mile long crack measuring 1 mile in width where the city used to be.
The President again urgently pleads with the world community to accept shangian refugees.

And wave of puma (poisonous volcanic gas) completely suffocates a small town right at the base of the volcanoe.
The town had 20,000 inhabitants.

Our cities are being pummeled into the ground and the great World VI monument has been destroyed.

Many shangians are scared and think the world is ending cuase we cannot explain what is happening. All of our scientific models have failed to acount for what is going on.

We here in the Land of the Lost Ways exist in the region known as the 10000 Islands. We truly are sorry for your troubles people of Shangia!! We shall try to ask our region's defense arm TITO(Ten thousan Island Treaty Organization) to supply evacuation forces and aid by sea, with possible military assistance if able, seeing as TITO serves the interests of the greater UN. There are plenty of areas to house your refugees, we are called the 10000 Islands for good reason. As for ourselves, we cannot really aid much in evacuation procedures to any great degree, we simply lack the resources, technological and magical. But what we can do is provide living space. Our home islands are sparsely populated with the various and asundry groups that make up our nation. In exchange for our country housing your people, we ask but two simple requests, that they at least try to live by our ways, and that they be willing to share any insights to help us regain the lost understandings of the magical paths. Any, we mean any information your people might already possess about the mystic arts is greatly appreciated and accepted, with compensation of some sort of course.

Then as long as your refugees are given transportation, and abide by our ways to a logical degree, than you are welcome to stay as long as we can accomadate your people. Though they can only help so much on the grand scale, we are sending in two air elementals to help your evacuation processes and to aid the safe travel of aircraft, since they can locate danger areas and safe zones with relative accuracy, being of course made of air. They can travel at high speeds, expect them within the next 48 hours. A fire and earth elemental are en route to help circumvent the lavaflows, and help in other disaster aversion and rescue capacities. Two squadrons of 5 water elementals each are coming as well. One squadron will travel by land to help put what fires they can, the second squadron will be able to assist and guide vessels to evacuation sites and temporary and permanent holding places for refugees. Of course, if any are trapped in underwater facilities, they will assist in freeing them as well, if possible.

Our nation has just suffered another massive quake this one literally measuring 11.2 on the richter scale causing the southern half of our continent to break off from the northern half. You should have felt this in the ocean waves. All cities and villages have been completely destroyed.
354 million are estimated to have been killed in this super quake.
Many of our people are suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome due to recent spate of disasters and we are in need of airconditioning as the temperatures have soared to 103 degrees farenheit.
5 massive tidal waves are headed toward the shores of our nation, these waves having been triggered by the huge quake.
