Simply a reference, if ever I require to explain this.

Cloak and Dagger
Democratic States of Zvarinograd Special Forces

Preface

The Cloak and Dagger stands for;

• Intelligence that adds substantial value to the management of crises, the conduct of war, and the development of policy.

• Objectivity in the substance of intelligence, a deep commitment to the customer in its form and timing.

Mission Categories

• Unconventional Warfare (UW) - Using guerilla warfare tactics in battle. Guerilla warfare is characterized by small, mobile combat groups that operate using often "unorthodox" battle methods like destroying enemy supplies, creating diversions, ambushing small enemy units, demolitions, and other "hit and run" types of operations.

• Foreign Internal Defense (FID) - Training given to foreign nationals in order to build relationships

• Direct Action (DA) - Moving against an enemy target. This may include assaults on land- or water-based targets, hostage rescues, ambushes, etc.

• Counterterrorism (CT) - Includes direct action against terrorist operations, antiterrorist actions for preventing terrorist acts, and protecting citizens and troops

• Special Reconnaissance (SR) - Includes conducting preliminary surveys to gather information, manning observation posts, and other types of surveillance, both overt and covert, where the goal is to gather information. This may include gathering hydrographic data (beach and water surveys) for landings or following an enemy unit and reporting its position.

• Counterintelligence (CI) - Organized activity of an intelligence service designed to block an enemy's sources of information, to deceive the enemy, to prevent sabotage, and to gather political and military information.

Training

Training is brutal, and must be done with selected/gifted children starting their peak brain growth (5-12 years old) with their parent's full consent. It takes over 10 years to train an agent to the point at which he will be ready for deployment. The agents that emerge are ready to handle pretty much any task they could be called on to perform, including diving, combat swimming, navigation, demolitions, weapons, espionage, commandeering vehicles, stealth and parachuting. The training pushes them to the limit both mentally and physically in order to weed out those who may not be able to successfully complete the demanding missions and operations with which agents are faced with. The types of stresses they endure during training are the same stresses they will endure as agents. If they can't withstand it when lives aren't on the line, chances are good they won't be able to withstand it when lives are at stake.

The researchers insist that, genetically modified clones may have a chance of having rebellious behaviour if they do not fully consent, and thus is not a option. In addition, cyborg or robotic agents are also not permitted as the rapid pace of technology make it hard to defend against cybernetic attacks and expensive to constantly upgrade.

Standard Gear

Agents normally wear clothing according to previous diplomatic/intelligence gathering encounters with the target. Although there are various modifications to the clothes such as a woven Kevlar layer and additional pockets for storage of tools and weaponry; the objective is not for necessity, but for being able to blend in the crowd.

For weaponry, the agents use specially designed ceramic base material silenced handguns or sniper rifles with caseless ammunition, able to be (de)assembled to and from inconspicuous parts. The firearms are primarily designed to be able to be carried past metal detectors and other airport security measures. However, the material, used instead of a steel barrel, acts as an insulator (ceramic tube wound with carbon fibers and composite/resin wrap) even though it's only .150" thick. Because the energy isn't transferred as heat to a steel barrel, the energy is used in propulsion of the projectile. Tests are showing an average of 24% ballistics improvement. Barrels don't heat up and can be half the weight of a steel version. It also carries the advantages of general corrosion and erosion enhancements. Rifling can be sharper and more severe for better control as well as harder bullet guilding is possible.

Other tools, such as lock picks, explosives, and portable laptops are given out according to the necessity of the mission.

OOC:
(I know there are people out there who can not tell OOC from IC, OOC is Out of Character, which means that it does not portray any event in the continuity of roleplay. Thus, this information remains a secret until deemed otherwise by myself and myself alone.)

Well just for those who don't read the stickies much. Jumpstart newbies who just dive into the game before reading everything because they could not bear to read it all.
