Larkinia

Larkinian Presidential Palace, Midday, recently after the swearing-in ceremony
Jeff sat back in the desk, god he never expected being President was going to be this hard. Between trying to keep all the different parties in Parliament happy, plus dealing with the military... speaking of the military, there was a whole cache of weapons that had gone missing from one of the storehouses in the Badlands. He'd had CIS looking into the situation, but so far there was no answer about the weapons.
Between all of these situations he was still trying to fiind more time for his family. It had been hard on the children, taking them away from their friends in Iansisle. Jeff promised them they'd be going back soon, as soon as he was done pretending to be president...
Pretending to be president, isn't that what the Larkinian Sun had said about him? Over and over, questioning him so much he started believeing their questions.
Iansisle... there were a lot of strange reports coming from there recently. He'd been so busy with trying to keep Larkinia from coming apart at the seams that he hadn't been able to put as much care into the troubles in Iansisle as he wanted to. If it was true what he'd heard, and James wasn't doing anything about it, he'd have to talk with him.
God.. what time is it?
He looked up at the clock in the office, 7:45... 7:45!!??
Jeff jumped out of the chair, he hadn't even seen the sun dip behind the volcanos in the horizon.
Awww sh*t! I was supposed to meet with Katherine 45 minutes ago.. f***!
He stood up just as the buzzer to his phone went off.
"What? Aimee I'm la..."
"Sir, there's someone here to see you. Says he's an emissary of some kind."
"Can it wait? I'm late for dinner with the family?"
"Jeeves has rescheduled dinner for a little later this evening and taken your wife and children to the museum to keep them occupied."
God damn it all, I told Katherine I wouldn't let any job come between us again... sh*t.
"Yeah, send him in."
