The Hive Cluster of Relandil And Haraenv
The History of the Cluster is lost to the ages of time, however, recent investigations have revealed the cluster in a frightening light.
The Hive Cluster appears to be a highly advanced cast off from the realm of the species merely known as "Species 8472".
We know that this "hive" is more advanced from its ancestors, as it exists in real space, and not fluidic space.
Ideaology:
When neccessary, these "Relandil" Or Species 8472B (as we will refer to them for the rest of this report), will resort to their ancient and buried cold malevolence, though, most of the time, they are compassionate and fair, any one who attacks them is destroyed with ferocity unseen among even the most ferocious of species.
History:
As was said, the history of these Relandil is unknown as of yet.
Territory:
The 8 planets and numerous asteroid belts comprise the territory of the Hive, the planets are completely covered in Hive Cities, thus giving its name of "The Hive Cluster", The Cluster is defended to an extreme limit, and is surrounded by a Nebula lethal to most life.
Ships:
Relandil appear to use organic biomass ships (which appear to be actual living lifeform as opposed to just organic components as evidenced by the vertabrae seen upon entering the ship). Each biomass ship has a crew complement of one.
The ships seem to be impervious to Most technology: ship sensors can't penetrate the surface of the biomass ship, transporters can't lock onto it, and the tractor beam has no affect on it.
It has been demonstrated that the biomass can dissolve through the hulls of most ships. Their ships use warp propulsion with anti-matter technology.
Inside the ship, there are organic conduits which carry an electro-dynamic fluid. This quite possibly could be an energy source. There is also a binary matrix laced with neural peptides, which could be their idea of a computer core. The biomass ships have the ability to regenerate themselves, The Ships are fitted with a highly advanced biological version of a shielding matrix, and some ships have been known to have a metal hull placed over the organic ship.
Medical And Species Overview:
Species 8472B is telepathic in nature, and at this point, it is unknown if they have a spoken language or not, however they do have a written one, decodable by most translators.
They emit a bio-electric field that disrupts the transporter, preventing getting a lock on or near them. Narrowing the transporter confinement beam doesn't work. The bio-electric field also prevents tricorders from being able to localize the location of Species 8472B.
The cells of this species are densely coded and have more than one hundred times the DNA a human cell would have. They have an extrordinary immune response. Anything that enters the cell membrane are immediately destroyed. Therefore, the Borg can't assimilate them, and most sedatives and the like are useless.
They are highly resistant to all forms of technology. Species 8472B is made of the same material as their ships. They are capable of living in the vaccuum of space with no life support. They can also crawl along the hull of a starship without additional support. They are also capable of regeneration.
Species 8472B don't particularly like being in humanoid form and having to do things such as sleep, bi-pedal movement, and breathing oxygen, Phasers set on Kill and extreme power are known to need to fire at least 5 times to kill a Relandil.

One of the only existing Images for a Relandil, Species 8472B, as you can see, evolution upon their ancestors has not progressed very much.
Attack Methods:
Species 8472B attacks with their claws whenever they can, as they are stealthy they can almost nearly always reach their target. Once they attack with their claws, this will transfer their cells to the victim. These cells, once in the victim's blood, will begin to consume the body from the inside out, essentially eating the victim alive. The victim will be conscious during this process because all sedatives and other treatments to the infection are neutralized immediately.
While the fire power of one ship is extrordinary, they can combine their fire power by forming a circle with a number of other ships, with one ship in the center of the circle. All the ships fire at the main center ship, which collects the fire power and amplifies it out, causing enough fire power to destroy a planet.
Species 8472B are highly intelligent and devious. When they enter the enemy's ship, it will do whatever is the most efficient way to destroy the ship.
Species 8472B Are one of the few races to be able to effeciently eradicate cyborg races.
Known Vessel Designs:
There are few known vessel designs, however, even the smallest warship class ships of the Species 8472B can take on a borg cube, and win.
Fighter Class - Larvae
The Fighter Bomber known as the Larvae are the only class of fighter, and deadly, they are fast and agile, and well protected and armed, with the capability to regenerate themselves as any other vessel, these are not to be trifled with, The Larvae are armed with 2 Bio-Pulse Beams and 2 Organic Torpedo Launchers.
Scout Class - Bee

Scout Class Vessels are the fastes ships in the Relandil fleet, and are primarily used for scouting purposes.
They are lightly shielded, and their organics are not very strong.
However, for a small ship, it is armed well with 2 Bio Pulse Beams and 1 Bio-Pulse Cannon.
Destroyer Class - Pupa

This is a lightly armed and armoured assault unit. Though the Pupa has less powerful regenerative capablities than the other warships, it offers increased manoeuverability and speed. It is armed with 6 bio-pulse beams.

Wasp: A mid-level assault organism equipped with an arrangement of bio-pulse weapons, the Wasp is a powerful unit in the Relandil arsenal, The Wasp is lightly armoured, but fast and manoeuverable. It is Armed with 2 Bio-Pulse Cannons, 1 Bio-Pulse Array, and 7 Bio-Pulse Beams.

Mutae: More Heavily armoured than the Wasp, this ship is armed with long range organic artillery, The Larvae can provide long-range offensive capabilities to the Relandil Fleets, The Mutae is armed with 2 Long Range Organic Torpedo Launchers, and 2 Bio-Pulse Cannons for close range defense.
Battleship Class - Mantis

The primary warship used by the Species 8472B fleet, the Mantis is armed with a very powerful arsenal, one of the largest bio-matter ships encountered by other races, the Mantis is fearsome in combat. Greatly Larger than the Mantis, Relandil's Hornet is designed to pack the final punch in a fight, when grouped with four to eight operational Mantis Vessels, the Hornet can serve as a conduit, absorbing power from the Mantis vessels, and projecting it upon a chosen target, The Hornet is armed with 12 Bio-Pulse Beams, 6 Bio-Pulse Arrays, 10 Bio-Pulse Cannons, 6 Organic Torpedo Launchers, and 4 Advanced Bio-Pulse Beams, the Hornet is a vessel to be feared.

The Hive Class Carrier is the same size as a Hornet, and carries 300 Larvae Fighter Bombers, The Hive is well armoured and shielded, and compartively well armed for a carrier vessel, The Hive Classes are armed with 4 Bio-Pulse Beams, 2 Organic Torpedo Launchers, 1 Bio-Pulse Array, 3 Bio-Pulse Cannons and 1 Advanced Bio-Pulse Beam.
Resourcer Class - Worker, Transmuter
The Worker and Transmuter are unarmed, but well armoured, the Transmuter breaks down any resource into organic material used in the construction of ships, the Worker collects the materials from planets, nebulae, asteroids, and enemy ships.
Unknown Class - Behemoth

The Defender is a unarmed vessel that constructs the defences of the Relandil, such as Sentinel Defense platforms and Mines, The Mutator is another unarmed vessel, appearing much as a larvae, this ship can mutate into the lower classes of vessels, or construct a Mothership or many other installations.
