I require players for a character oriented RP with some weird scientific stuff as a background (specifically, teaching octopodes to pilot spacecraft). Most, however, would be character interactions of the general everyday sort.
'Twill be set aboard a Guild city ship. See this thread (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=147205) for a bit of background on life in Guild city. Please post here if interested.

I love character RPs. I think I'll make my character the a**hole that no one wants to be around but everyone has to work with.

I'll provide a psychologist and biologist, anything else that would show up in a small city is up for grabs. Extra scientists, love interests, the guy who everybody but the cops knows sells drugs, the eccentric roommate, the security guard who knows exactly who you are but requires exhaustive ID anyway... etc.
Well then leave combat to me also i can pilot a ship very wellCombat shouldn't come up... unless someone gets into a null-g fist fight with the annoying dude no one wants to be around but everyone has to work with.

so i take it im in for this RP!
Thanks :D
Every city needa a taxi driver... What's a city-ship equivalent of a taxi or transit system and I've got a character in mind.
Lance Taqir can be the getaway car, the guy who saw it but doesn't want to talk, the guy who shuts up for the extra $50, or whatever.

Internally... I'm not sure. There really shouldn't be much of a taxi driver analogue, but I might have overlooked something. I shall think about that.
On the other hand, there're always shuttle pilots moving people between ships in the colony. Foundry, Civillian Barge, Factory Ship, Electronics Ship, Greenhouse Ship, the occaisonal Prison Barge, all with boxy shuttles flitting about between them.

Does this environment allow for kilts?

Does this environment allow for kilts?Kilts, skirts, and dresses don't work in null-g. 'Tis impossible to keep them modest, and even if that is not a concern, they'd get in the way horribly.
So, when do we start? Here and now. (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=149728)

Aye.
Kilts, skirts, and dresses don't work in null-g. 'Tis impossible to keep them modest, and even if that is not a concern, they'd get in the way horribly. On this note, some other semi-random things. List to be added to as I am reminded of further items.
In terms of clothing & accessories- danglies are a no-no. Earings, neckalces and the like have to be small. Short hair, and all clothing items either close-fitting or elasticked. Uniforms for government & maintenance officials typically consist of either a single peice jumpsuit zippered in front with lots of pockets, or the jeans & tucked-in t-shirt combo you see in pictures of RL astro/cosmo/taikonauts. Casual Spacer clothing in general is colorful silk pants and open vest. There can, of course, be variations, and extranational visitors will likely have other styles, but there can be bothing that might float about and get in the way.
Something else semi-random, a list of common Spacer euphemisms for planetdwellers & general non-Spacers:
Flatlander
Ant
Mudsucker
Dirtfoot
Sapien Sapien
DCI (dexterally challenged individual)
Tree
is it to late for me to join this one?

THis looks good. Could I join?Yup. Find a good spot, and jump in.
OK. I'd like to join up, but I have a question or two first.
Should I stick to human characters?
I'd like to use Scree, if it's possible. Some of you may know her already; the little GM dragon with the three-speed metabolism, and the only non-magical dragon in Khrrck. She's a courier pilot now; does odd jobs and a fair amount of smuggling.
If that's not OK, I'm perfectly happy with using a Wyrm or human character.

A smuggler or freelance pilot could get in, but the path would be somewhat convoluted, and I don't see much in the way of a motive. Probably best to stick to humans (sapiens sapiens and sapiens astra).
Well, goodbye, Scree. Human it is.
