BelGael

Workers across the nation of BelGael have gone out on indefinite strike over what they claim are substandard wages in the Woodchip Exports industry.
The Debates over this isseu in Parlement are only but the heat under the Presure Cooker in Woodchip Industries, as the nations leaders prepare to addopt a new law that states that all companies that preform such great service to the nation should not be rewarded themselfs by the cash profit their company makes - but should increase payment to the workers also, since they are what made the company great with their hard labour. The Government of BelGael is in crisis meeting over the anger of its loyal subjects.
By tomorow this new law should be in place and Woodchip industries will be forced to pay their workers an increased sallary.
The statement to the press that turned the country upside down this morning now becomes the backbone of this nations newest law concerning the profits made by large corperations.
"We are the backbone of this country, and we demand a fair wage rise!" says union leader Roxanne O'Bannon. "I don't think a 20% increase over two years is too much to ask. Unless the government forces employers to give us our due, we'll shut this whole industry down! Let's see how well BelGael's economy manages without any Woodchip Exports, huh?"
This is the position BelGaels government is preparing to adopt. Tonight no parlement member shall find any rest early, while the strike force goes to bed early ready for another days strike. A generous union backed up by a compasionate government. Shall this end the crisis around Woodchip Exports? We shall see!
But from this nights news the presure was on the board, as angry managers and share holders came to the Woodchip Exports offices in the nations capitol, to discuss the future of the nations backbone. Before the start of the meeting the companies spokesmen and employer representative Buy Hanover, stated to the gatherd press the following.
"We pay our employees very generous wages," says employer representative Buy Hanover. "Especially when you consider that without us, they'd be OUT ON THE STREET. Hear that, you scumbags? OUT ON THE STREET! Anyway, my point is, if you cave in, you make our entire industry uncompetitive. You can't do that in the global marketplace. It'll hurt the whole country. The best solution, economically speaking, would be to relax industrial laws and allow us to fire troublemakers on the spot."
But it seems the government does not agree and even takes up a position to defend its voters rights. As the Prime Ministers spokesmen said earlier on this evening: "If the politicians would not serve their people like a loyal humble servent, then who will? We can not expect the nation to fall to the likes of those capitalistic scavengers, cause then we would end back up in the situation in wich our ancestors dwelled. A time when children where even put to work in the cotton mills, and where civil rights where at such low point that we would and could do notthing else then watch as the nation was been gambled away by money loving capitalists and war loving loneytics. We cant allow this great nation to be turned back to that time, if a loss of money is due to follow so be it - It is our civillians their happyness we have to think about in general. Not the money lovers. In the long run who would benefit from it, if we would go with the Woodchip Exports proposal to kick out those who wanted pay raise? It would be those of Woodchip and the government who would benefit, and the general public would only be told they could watch the rich spend but not share in it. Cause thats what this is about, having a fair share in the gain of the company when it does well. This denial of a fair share of the profits for the workers is outragious. Further more the government suports the strikers demand even further, by making it a law for all future companies in this country who make money out of this nations workforce. Not the company but the nations Workforce is this nations backbone - and we support their clame for a higher pay for their part in this nations sucses with Woodchip Export."
