In a suprising move, Indiastani President Esana Hiren declared today that the steps have been completed towards making Indiastan a constitutional monarchy under his control. He has reassured doubters that feared he would abolish the parliment and dissolve the electoral process by making a firm promise that while some changes would be made to the upper echelons of government, the rest would basicly stay the same. Hiren stated that because of advances in life-extending treatments, and the fact that no incumbent President has ever been defeated in an election, that it is simply more efficent to use the new imperial system. And the people of Indiastan, who have supported Hiren and his Centerist party with a nearly 95% majority for the last thirfty years, were generally quite pleased with the announcement. It is expected that many of the newborn baby boys will be named Esana over the next few days, in honour of the new Emperor. -AP
