In a press conference held in the conference room of President Chamber's vacation house in Mykenos, Greece the President made clear his desire to boost sports, namely soccer in his country. "Sports are a part of our local culture and are a fun way to exercise and compete in a developmental way" were his words of explanation after he proudly told his people that the government would be helping out in sports.
A local soccer league called "Soliathropa Premier League" (SPL) in which 6 teams from some of the more prominent cities inside Soliathropa have already enrolled has been set up. An administrating body has been set up with a headquarters in Hagron, one of the biggest business cities in the nation.
Stadiums and other types of soccer infastructure will be constructed soon in anticipation of the league's opening in approx. a month, while coaches of three teams (Hagron, Juliote, and Le Persaix) have set up audition and training camps for their teams. The other teams are expected to follow with similar actions.
With a preliminary look at the clubs, it has also been verified that a national squad and national U-21 squad will be formed shortly, the appointment of their respective coaches will be announced at the opening ceremony for the SPL.
A young male soccer player in the new capital Djiolt-Cambrie, was quoted as saying, "This is absolutely fantastic! There is so much local talent waiting to get into the game... and now they can! Hopefully the government can keep this up and we will soon be one of the better teams in the world!"
A total ammount of 475 million Solas are expected to be spent in the next two months on the rushed development of the sport! Perhaps, by next international world cups or olympics, they will be top competitors!
