Draconian-Rossian Alliance tightens borders

Supreme General Yunger Keane sat at his desk, reading report after report and fondly thinking of the Good Old Days (Even though in the Good Old Days he was thinking of even older days). When the Klonor Empire had been one Empire his job had been a pleasant one. The KE had been feared and respected (more the latter than the former) and except for a few extremely rare disturbances there had been no military emergencies. His job had been to safeguard the people, and he had done it well.

Then the Duke had to die and everything went to hell. Civil Wars, invasions, annexations, trade embargos, and even more tragic events. The brief calm that had settled after the Epsilon Pegasi civil war ended didn't last very long, the SR-2091 colony had shown up and started a whole bunch of shit. EVen now there was trouble, some imposter posing as the Duke was stirring up trouble in Deneb, and trouble in Deneb had as much chance of staying contained as the Force triumphing over the Galactic Spirit (conflicting Klonor religions here).

He leaned forward, keying the intercom for his administrative aid.

"Lucy, can you come in here for a minute, please?"

"Yes, sir."

"Take a letter for the Commander of Outer Defense: Activate ErgoMasso Border Sensors. Full activation. Constant sweeps. MiniStar Generators on full broadcast power. Make sure that if a dead flea floats through I know about it. That is all."

"Yes, sir. I'll deliver it at once."

OOC:

Basically, it's that I have just activated the sensors which completely circle the Gamma Draconis, Ross128, and Regulus star systems. The reason they haven't been activated before is because 1) It's damn near godmodding to do this. Completely circling a solar system with sensor stations takes countless resources and thousands of hours of construction time. The only reason I even try to pass this off is because I did make several threads with me building these things (it was quite a while ago). 2) The energy to power them all (and there would be thousands, if not millions, of stations) would be a serious drain on resources and energy supplies. It takes an emergency (such a possible war) to warrant them being turned on.
