With the sudden discovery of a small cluster of volcanic islands near the AMF homeland (located in the Mid-Atlantic), Lord Damien Dreadfire has ordered the deployment of several taskforces to secure the islands. Underwater volcanic activity in the area is responsible for the islands, which vary in size from a few hundred acres to a few miles. Minister Hartman gave a short statement to the press and was quoted as follows.

We believe that these new islands are vital to AMF security and will act as excellent forward naval bases. We assure any nations in the area that there will be no hostile action taken for this is not a military campaign. AMF is the first to lay claim to the islands, and we expect the international community to respect our claim.

We count about 6 islands in a tight cluster. 3 of the 6 are too small to be anything really, 2 of the islands are a few miles around, and roughtly in the center of the cluster is a very large landmass. The terrain as it appears from our satellites is pure ash and volcanic rock, but years down the road after some cultivating it should be inhabitable. It will take alot of smoothing out, because when the volcano erupted it spewed out an unusual amount of lava. Because of the large volume, the terrain is somewhat mountainous. This is all the info we have at the moment. This is a great discovery for Automagfreek.

OOC: Sure, if that's what you want. I mean, I invented a new continent in the North Pacific for myself. Anyway, you can invent all the islands and claim them if you want, so long as you do it in the Atlantic. I have too many neighbours as is.

OOC: Keep in mind that the NS world is incredibly much larger than Earth for all the nations to fit on it, so a few small islands may have gone unnoticed.
