Voidstate

Entering the Dream Sea, The Dominion Voidstate is easily recogniseable, as it is the only island with habitations not immediately surrounding an airfield. The island looks lush and green as you approach, and while you know that the civilisation is technologically advanced, the traces are well disguised as natural elements. You think you've spotted a tree that is actually a radio tower.
On the island, you are greeted with a great deal of handshaking by Amadeus, Voidstate's only ambassador. He entreats you to stay put while he gathers your bags and finds you a driver. Amadeus apologises for not driving you, himself, but he says that he needs to meet the other guests.
Entering the embassy, you hear strains of electronic music mixed with an almost operatic chorus of singing voices from the ballroom. Diplomats, themselves, are on hand to take your coat and hat, as they are used to throwing their own parties, and not relying on servants. As you head down the hall, Cyb, the Minister of Technological Advances, throws open the door to the ballroom and steps out, carrying a martini, and singing along with the music. "Hey, how are you?" she calls, over the music, "Come on in, I'll have Ywain get you a drink." It occurs to you that the Ywain she refers to is the Lord Prince Ywain, the ruler of the Dominion Voidstate. These people really are laid back.
You step into the room, and see a stage with a number of musicians and sound technicians, and behind them, a riser with a number of chorally trained cabinet members singing. They all appear to be enjoying themselves.
