I was unsure as to whether or not this post belonged in this forum, even after reading the sticky thread "What the Gameplay Forum is for, in a general sense", however, it seemed to be my best bet. I apologize in advance, however, if I am posting in the wrong section of the forum.

My question is: If I post in the "International Incidents" part of the forum, I realize that everyone may read the post, and respond to it. However, if I state that it is a closed Role-Play, and involves only myself, can the other NationState countries still react to it as though they seen it?

In other words, what I'm asking is (it won't happen, but it's an excellent example), if I decide to commit a genocide within my nation, and role-play it, and take precautions as Hitler did to keep the truth from spreading, will the other Nations of the NationStates world be aware of what is happening just because I posted in the forum, or will they have to talk to me in other topics as though it is not happening?

With regard to the NS World, the part of the game outside the forums, your decision to commit genocide against your people in an RP would not have any effects.

Within the forum, it gets more complicated, as people might for example seek to circumvent your media blackout by in-character sending spies. For this part of your question to be answered by those with experience in such matters, I will move this thread to the NationStates Forum.

(OOC) When people write 'closed Role-Play', it is to say that the topic starter does not want just anyone to join in. That way, you can keep the topic to just who you invite (or just to yourself). People will respect your wishes and stay out of your thread.

To use your genocide example, you could preface your post with (secret IC), that would assure no other nation could RP knowing what you were doing to your people.
