To Whom It May Concern:
As you, the regions of NationStates, may already know, we, the Holy Empire of Zakos, are a relatively small, young country. These are unfortunate facts that we must live with, for the time being. It is time for us to change this.
The Holy Empire of Zakos wishes to expand from the confines of the Pacific into some other region. While the Pacific is, and always has been, good to Zakos, it must be understood that growth is directly related to surroundings, and the Pacific simply is no longer suitable for an empire that has the ambition of the Holy Empire of Zakos. Under the careful rule of Empress Zhao Ming Mei, we have become powerful enough to exist in the global eye, but this is not nearly enough.
We seek global recognition.
The Holy Empire of Zakos has ideals and dreams like any other country in NationStates, and this is why we envision a Zakos with freedom, justice, equality, and fairness to all. It can be easily understood why we want social welfare, education, and religion for all, not only those wealthy. At the same time, however, we must maintain the absence of crime from our streets.
Regions, you must understand our dream. It would be most admirable for one of you to accept us as we are and help us, nurture our growth. However, all of you must also understand this: We refuse to move to a democratic region. We are not a democracy, but a dictatorship. The more money saved from absurd voting, the more money can be moved to civil rights purposes. We all know that our Empress Zhao Ming Mei is utterly devoted to the people of her Holy Empire of Zakos - it is a totally unclear to us why so many other nations find it necessary to waste precious dollars on votes.
This understood, we thank you, the regions, for you understanding on this matter. Already two regions have extended invitations towards us, but unfortunately, Empress Zhao found both of them unsuitable for Zakos, and we all are inclined to agree. We hope that you all may find yourselves agreeing with the contents of this telegram, and that you would like for us, the soon-to-be-great Holy Empire of Zakos, to join you.
