Aerion, as a nation, has long recovered from the war with Belem that it had raged, and threw much of the nation into chaos. In the time since then, the Interim Government of Aerion, consisting the Tribunal of General Asodi Draces, Lt. General Rowin, and Major Rather Rotein, and an Interim Governing Council has not been so "interim". They seem to have become a permanently governing oligarchy. Many of the population are demanding that the Royal House of Wasterin, the Royal Family, be returned to the Throne as rightful leaders of the nation. The Tribunal refuses to give up this power, having a firm grip over the military of the nation. However, it is rumored political intrigues being crafted in the government may soon allow the Royal House to return to power.
Lt. General Rowin has been widely, but secretly criticied among the secret media (all media is otherwise state controlled), and can often be seen cruising through the poorer areas of Astevane, the capital city in his limousine along with his entourage of several Mercedez Benz. It is rumored he, and his "associates" pick up young girls off the street to have themselves with. A small, secret, underage harem has even been supposedly acquired by the Lieutenant General where he enjoys them at his private villa on the southwestern coast of Aerion, several hundred miles from Astevane.
