Tremalkier re-emerges from the ashes (thats right, I'm back)

Tremalkier
15-05-2004, 05:44
(OOC: A very quick summary of my nation, for newcomers.)

True Founding Date: Feb 6, 2003

Official Name: The United Imperial Forces of Tremalkier

Government Style: Complete Monarchy. Headed by the Kaiser, the Tremalkien government is strictly regulated by the Imperial Dynasty, currently the Petronovichs. However, thanks to the unique relationship between the Dynasty and the nomadic Niall peoples, any Heir to be must undergo a lifelong (prior to ascending the throne) evaluation by the Niall. Should the proper values not be found, the Heir...luckily disappears, and another from the family is selected by the Niall Auserwähltors.

Current Head of State: Kaiser Petronovich IV. The aged Kaiser, 83, is more a figurehead than a true head of state anymore, with many believing his half-Panteran security advisor, Elend von Leuten as the true power behind the throne. The Heir , Ilyanoviski Petronovich, is considered by many to potentially be the most powerful Kaiser since the ancient Kaiser Jaeger, founder of the Petronovich Dynasty.

Capital Vault Complex: Dular-Karibidis

Dynastic Flag: Upright left hand, in red, under a silver hammer, and flanked by two falcon heads. Background is pure black.

Colonial Holdings:
Major Colonies: Galahad (formerly of Omz222), and Ulster and Tyrone.
Small Colonies: Nearly 300 assorted terroritial holdings in various nations, as well as control over nearly 50 small countries.

Economics

Currency: The Crown

Natural Resources: Heavy metals, especially steel and Uranium. Oil in certain areas of the Vault has largely been made obsolete by new Helium Generators.

Major Industries: Manufactoring, especially of war materials is prevalent. Further sub-terranean and sub-marine products manufacturing as well. Mining and lumber, from colonies, constitute a major sector of the economy as well. Sub-terranean agriculture is also on the rise, with the discover of adaptive environment agriculture.

Imports:
From Colonies: Spices, lumber, raw materials
From Foreign Nations: Little to none.

Exports: War materials, refined natural products.

Educational System: Headed by the Interior Departments sub-committee for future citizens, the education system is intensely direct. Focusing on the inherent abilities of individual children, future careers are decided by age 4. The military is known for its intense training by age 8, and for the best and brightest, Niall training by age 10.

Major Corporations:
Dynasty Owned

CylinInc: CylinInc is the sole producer of the Tremalkien Battle Suit. Employing an estimated 300,000 people, CylinInc's ties to the Niall and SystarCorp are unknown, and recent attempts to fully discover them have led to the "suicides" of nearly 400 people. CylinInc was recently indicted for a major bribery scandal involving top aides of the Kaiser himself, and ties to Advisor Von Leuten, although dismissed, are still thought to exist.

P-Corp: The leading manufacturor of weaponry, P-Corp directly employs over 1.7 million people in Tremalkier, and is believed to employ as many as 4.6 million worldwide.

P-Corp Holdings
VexTech: A leader in the newly expanding space technology field, VexTech specializes in weapons platforms, and specialized sensor equipment.

The Hrung Group: Leaders in the production of sub-marine vehicles and technology, the Hrung group is responsible for the upkeep of the Devastator submarine, the largest Submarine ever created, as well as much of the T-Wolf fleet.

Other Major Corporations

SystarCorp: A Niall run business, SystarCorp operates outside of Tremalkien law. Producers of the Qualkling, the traditional three foot blade, made of specialized metals and materials in a process not fully understood and the Dart missile launcher, SystarCorp's weapons technology has led many to believe the nomadic Niall may be more than advisors and warriors than is the common description of them.

TNews: The only news outlet not owned by the Dynasty, TNews is a widely ignored group. Wild reports of growing military disloyalty, large scale terrorism by the government, and other rumors have caused TNew's reputation to fall even more.

Environment: Tremalkier's environment has largely been decimated by the actions taken over the past thousand years by the Tremalkien people. The surface, once a tropical paradise has become a cragged wasteland. Clean water has become nearly impossible to find, with only a handful of known sources. Only the hardy Niall now move on the surface, as they go from clan Hold to clan Hold.

Religion: Tremalkier's religious beliefs are extremely difficult to understand by an outsider. Thought by many theological experts to have evolved from ancient Catholicism, Tremalkier's Uskandar religion has many traits directly found in Catholicism. However, the base of Uskandar appears to be from a more traditional religion, that of the Niall. Although belief in a prior Messiah exists, it is widely thought by non-Tremalkiens that Uskandar preaches a doomsday prophecy beyond the touch of man. Intensely convaluted, Uskandar's only widely understood aspect is that of the Messiaskommen which preaches of a man to come, from the loins of man, untouched by god, to lead the faithful to a new Golden Age.

Military

Directly sworn to the Kaiser, the Tremalkien Armed Forces are the dominating presence in Tremalkien life. All corporations and other businesses are directly tied to military control, if not ownership. All citizens are enrolled, and must undergo at least one month of active training per year. The Tremalkien Armed Forces are thought to technically include the entire population of Tremalkier, with only the exception of those the Kaiser himself grants immunity to.

Military Branches

The Falcons: The Falcons are the expedition and scouting branch of the Tremalkien Regular Army. Using light Tremalkien Battle Suits (TBS), the Falcons are responsible for all quick incursions, reconaissance, as well as escort and expeditionary efforts.
The Falcon TBS is armed lightest of all regular forces. Including the standart T-17 rifle, light Qualkling, and light Dart launchers, the Falcon's aren't expected to undergo heavy fighting. They do contain a full complement of grenades, sensors, and communications.

Elite Falcon Group: The Iron Eagles. The Iron Eagles are the most elite of all Tremalkien reconaissance forces. Used only for the most desperate measures, the Iron Eagles are expected to quickly defeat larger, better armed forces. The Iron Eagle suit is the same as the Falcon TBS, with the exception of additional sensor equipment.

The Hammers: The Hammers are the main attack force of the Tremalkien Regular Army. Ranging from light to heavy TBS systems, the Hammers are the largest Regular Army group, responsible for all actions.
The Hammer TBS ranges from a light, nearly Falcon level TBS, to the Massive Goliath system. Standard issue includes rifle, dart, Qualkling, grendades, while heavier suits may include missile packs, heavy machine guns, and various anti-armor and anti-aircraft weaponry.

Hammer Elite Group: Non-existant. Special forces for various terrains exist, but no common organization.

The Champions: The Champions are the Tremalkien Armed Forces occupation and defense troops. Including only tiny numbers of light forces, the Champions are the most heavily armed, and slowest moving of all Tremalkien Forces. Although Champion units are used as trench breakers, large scale use of Champions on the offensive is not advised.

Champion Elite Group: The Hand of God. Largely unknown, the Hand of God is reported as numbering as little as 5,000 men. However, reports of their use are found exclusively in the most gruesome of Tremalkier's war record, with the list of atrocities under their name including at least a half dozen charges of genocide and other large scale annihilation of areas.

Rumored Forces: The Niall. Not acknoledged as part of the Tremalkien Armed Forces, only one instance has found a failed Niall mission. Whereas the Hand of God is known for its destruction, the Niall are known for their unrestrained terrorism. Assassinations, bombings, poisoned water supplies, and other means are all used by the Niall. Attempts at piercing the cloak of secrecy surrounding the Niall resulted in the largely covered up Nacht des Flusses des Bluts, or Night of the River of Blood. Following a large scale effort by TNews to discover the truth about the Niall, nearly 45% of TNews employees, including an astounding 85% of managment were found with their throats slit the morning after the airing of the first segment about the Niall. The series was quickly cancelled.

The Navy: Largely a submarine force, the Tremalkien Navy is not known for major engagements. Rather it is known for its cut and peck strategy. Using large numbers of T-Wolf submarines, the Tremalkien Navy isolates small portions of the oppositions Navy, and ambushes them, fleeing from outright confrontation.

The Airforce: Largely ignored, the Airforce is almost entirely made of only three types of planes. The fighter bomber Falconeer, the Heavy bomber Iron Eagle, and the dogfighter Peregrines. The reason for this concentration is the extreme versatility of all three types of plane, which can be readjusted for individual missions.

Support: Tremalkier military policy dictates two things. 1) Neutralize enemy air and ground armor through use of the Darts (an extremely powerful hand held rocket launcher). 2) Always have lots, and lots of artillery. Tremalkien armor forces are minimal, but artillery numbers are astronomical with each division of the regular army assigned as few as 400 pieces of artillery to as many as 2000.

Tremalkien Structure

Social Heirarchy: Beyond royalty, the social heirarchy of Tremalkier is extremely complicated. The populace of Tremalkier is divided by an extremely complicated formula including intelligence, skills, power of speach, and other factors. Divided into these classes, certain privileges are extended to the various classes, with the lowest class, the Daschwache serving as little more than suicide bombers and other suicidal jobs.

Tremalkien Life: Since the Great Rupture, when the surface of Tremalkier was finally abandoned, Tremalkien life has drastically changed. The ancient skyrises of Tremalkier, always symbolizing the Tremalkien reach for the stars, have been abandoned for a series of massive bunkers. The Vault Complex, as it is known, is the result of nearly a millenia of effort, and uncounted trillions of crowns. Capably of withstanding even nuclear fire, the Vault is built for security. Broken into separate mini-complexes, the Vault contains automatic defenses in all areas. The Vault is an austere building, with a sense of purpose throughout. This is in ultimate contrast to the ancient flowing buildings, and building for nothing more than beauty that dominated the surface.

Other Peoples of Tremalkier: The Niall. Thought to be the ancestors of the modern Tremalkiens, the Niall are a largely nomadic people. Although recent evidence is thought to show that the Niall are in fact a stablized culture largely living in their clan Holds, these facts have largely been kept secret by the Royal Family, for unknown reasons. Guesses on population range from as few as a handful of thousands, to the recent TNews estimate of approximately 400 million, a number that has largely been received by laughter.

History

Wars: Tremalkier has engaged in war since it was first founded. Its first dip into major war occured in the Elaran conflict. The Elaran state, split into civil war, immediately took the Tremalkien offer of aid, and multiple divisions of Hammers were sent into that nation. However, constant reinforcing, as well as supply pandemics ultimately lead the Tremalkien forces, whom had been engaged in reducing the last rebel stronghold, to switch sides. This move ended in stalemate, with the Tremalkiens ultimately withdrawing. Such began the history of major international warfare, that has continued to this day. Tremalkien military involvement culminated in the issuance of a state of Blut-Fehde, or blood feud, with the Panteran people, a long time enemy. This blood feud has only risen in recent years as the security advisor to the Kaiser, whom many believe to be half-Panteran, and of questionable descent, has pressed for a full scale onslaught against those ancient foes, and bringing a puppet Lord Reaver into power. These plans have been met with resistance by most, although even Dynastic news outlets are starting to report slight dips in loyalty among certain officers, as the rabidly anti-Panteran segments of the army have begun vocally supporting von Leuten.

Ancient History: The Tremalkianic people are the descendants of what is believed to be a single clan of the Niall people. Spreading over the massive Kerensk continent, the Tremalkians, the name coming from the ancient clan name of Tremalks consalidated power over the much of the rest of the Niall under the ancient Kaiser Jaeger. Although 12 other Dynasties are acknoledged for the Tremalkian people, it was with Kaiser Jaeger that a true Tremalkien state began to emerge. The Tremalkianic people, spurred by their ideals of expansion and power quickly began a massive consolidation plan over the continent, beginning with Jaeger, that would continue for the next 5000 years. With the onset of Industry, Tremalkier found itself at a brink. Many said that Tremalkier must continue its ancient path of protecting nature, and revering beauty. Others said that doing such would be naive, and Tremalkier must modernize. Ultimately, under Kaiser Igorin III, Tremalkier did modernize, and set down the path that would ultimately leave the continent a barren wasteland.
