Silence. That was all there was in one of the many underground facilitys in New Phalanix. It was strange becuase only days before this was the most populated R&D center. Slowly the sound of footsteps fallowed by the burst of a SMG and the cracks of pistol shells rang out as a small security force and a pair of Elites fires into the air down a blood soaked hall. Suddenly a creature reappered and howled with pain as a large magnum like pistol round tore through it's breastplate into the weak flesh. Suddenly one of the elites howled it's own scream of pain as a plasma blade sliced through his sheilds and into his arm. Blood and hydrostaic gel ozzed out. At that point his partner turned and fired a trio of shotgun blasts into the hidden enemy blowing it's torso open sending it back a few feet. "Medic!" the one with the shotgun called as one of the security team members with a red cross on his vest ran over to the wounded Elite and scratched his head for a moment before pulling a can of biofoam out and injecting to into the wound to stop the bleeding. "F*ck that bastard can leave marks," he curssed as he knelt down and primed a grenade and hurled it down the hall and watched it bounce off a wall down a corner exploding sending chunks of the aliens bodys and armor splatering against the wall leaviny sickly splater marks. "Christ we have to move now," the female Elite shouted over the weapons fire. "We have to activate the failsafe here befor they get anything!" the other responded as he punched in on the com to the AI system and started to say the failsafe code. At that point the red warning lights began to spin for there final time. "It was an honor to serve with you two," the leader of the security team says to the Elites then turns to his team and says "And you guys to. No matter how much you are asses." The team nodded and saluted there comander before the massive quaking of the floor began. Suddenly something lungged at the Elites and they were sent flying away from the security team. Suddenly a massive white light flashed and the elites and the one that pushed them were gone. A slpit second passed before the entire facility was vaporized killing everything inside and above it.

"Today a massive explosion atomized a 2 mile wide 5 mile deep hole in the Big Horn River valley. Reports from hikers that escaped the blast say that they saw a team of Spartans lead by a Elite enter a cave before the blast. In other news...." Sudenly in the bcakground screams of workers could be heard. At that point the anchor man sreamed with fear as a alien hand rammed it's clawed fist through his chest crushing his lungs and heart. After that blood splattered across the cammera as the screams of the workers were heard over the weapons fire. Then a still beating heart slamed into the cammera shattering the lens smearing the front with blood as it slowly died. The microphone was still on at the time and alien's speaking could be heard before a plasma blast melted the cammera turning the screan to static.
