Wandering Argonians

This is a sign-up thread for a future free-plot RP set in the 'Arcanum' tech level. I derive the name & tech level from a computer-based RPG of the same name.
The Arcanum tech level blends late 19 century technology (and some advanced variations as well) with magic & mythology. The two balance out, however. Since magic produces ultrasonic vibrations, use of magic or magical creatures will cause illness in the user & mechanical devices to malfunction & explode. This acts as a balancing variable, so there can be no master gunslingers who can summon skeleton minions without any complications. This can be done, but you'll likely miss your target, have your weapon missfire, and/or mess up the spell & have skeletons after you instead of your target. Please keep this in mind.
I'm looking for up to fifteen decent (preferably expeirenced) RP'ers.
Try to keep characters at a reasonable skill level, so we don't have fifteen firearms masters or century-old master wizards walking around.
The RP will start in a large, industrial town known as Gregsburg. Gregsburg is a recent believer in technology, and still has many among its population who oppose its useage. The anti-technologists have been forced into the poorer areas due to the massive conflictions with magic that steam engines cause. Gregsburg is divided in half by a large river & the two sides are connected by a large, wide bridge supported in the middle by a small island. The main support houses the Halfway Inn, a popular tavern due to its magical & technological neutrality.
Quick tech list
Guns:
Flintlock pistols & rifles
Revolver (Magic resistant)
Repeater rifle (Magic resistant)
Mechanized gun (Machinegun)
