I've got no time for a descriptive post for each of these changes, so I'm just posting them all here as a public IC and OOC announcement. Some are more relevant than others.
-The Ministry of Justice has passed laws banning "religious discrimination". That is, not allowing someone into your religious group because of gender, species, race, background, etc.
-The Ministry of Justice has approved seven new rehabilitation programs that will allow them to cut use of neural reprogramming to 5% of inmates of the rehabilitation system, about 1/5 of the previous 32%.
-The Military's full budget has been restored after a twenty year witholding to 5%. It has been forbidden from drawing any more than its current number of personnel from the workforce however.
-The Xanthalian government has approved the establishment of three national/international sports leagues. Baseball, basketball, anf frizbee golf were chosen as the opening leagues because of their generally non-violent nature and popularity up to this point in unofficial leagues in Xanthal.
-The Ministry of Research and Science has announced that they will be using the Infinity Gateway to continue their extra-dimensional exploration, a program that has been suspended for over a century.
-The Ministry of Development has announced that it will be working with the ministries of the Armada and Military and of Research and Science to develop a method of quick and safe general transit over intergalactic distances.
-The Ministry of the Armada and Military has approved a shield upgrade developed in a joint research project with Teritoran scientists for general use on Xanthalian starships. This upgrade is expected to increase shield efficiency by as much as 50%.
-The Xanthalian Ministry of the Armada and Military has begun work on developing two new ship classes, one to provide shield supplementation and another designed to deliver targeted shield-disrupting beams.
