OOC: This is my first attempt at throwing an event for the world, so please bear with me on this, and any advice would be greatly appreciated, via telegram! Now to describe the beginning of the event...
The Teatroian Ministerial Reception is one of the largest events held in Teatroia for its own personal foreign relations each year, and as such is held in the most magnificent part of the Teatroian Capitol, the Government Palace Ballroom. The room is a huge affair in white marble, with a high ceiling supported by columns of the same marble. While accessible from the other governmental wings of the palace, the main entrance in use tonight is the double French doors in a made entirely of glass facing a lush shrubbery garden through which ornate stone paths lead from the guarded entry to the palace, to which they are escorted. Another such wall opens into another smaller garden on the opposite side of the palace with flowering plants all around through which the guests are allowed to walk, with an attractive stone wall surrounding this garden. A raised area on the side of the room provides seating for the Teatroian heads of state and other honored guests, while the central area of the room is also spread with ornately decorated tables and chairs for the rest of the visiting delegations.
A dashing younger man stands on the raised area with the Teatroian Ministers of State, Education, and Defense, and confers with them before the guests arrive. This man is Tarin DelTorre, the newly elected prime minister of Teatroia, who, at 29, has won over the hearts and minds of the majority of the Teatroian population with his passionate defense of and acquistion of funding for the Teatroian educational system. DelTorre is a pleasant, friendly man to be around without the developing paunch of old age that some of the Teatroian politicians seem to gain. He is physically attractive and well-groomed, with neat blond hair, and green eyes. He is dressed in a formal but stylsih tuxedo for the event, and wears a large pin to recognize his status at PM of the country.
