Youth Protests, Violent Government Response (OPEN RP)

"Greetings. Today, I, Eric Bristow, have been elected leader of the Asagaj Alliance for Progress, or AAP. That's right, elected. That's right, we have formed a group. I know the international community is watching, so I will tell you what it is like in this country for youth. Per our constitution, you don't have citizenship until you hit the age of fifty. Fifty! And under that, I'm fully expecting some so-called, "Guardians of Unity," the military, and the "Orderers," paramilitary secret police, to come out here and start shooting at our crowd soon- we don't have rights! The old religious right-wing wackos that have power in our businesses, our government, and according to the outdated interpretations of religious texts they cling to, every facet of our lives. We come here to stand for rights based on ability, not age. We come here to stand for freedom of speach, freedom to assemble, right to a trial, freedom of religion, end to capital punishment, introduction of social welfare programs, increase in education spending, increase in environmental and consumer protections, and all the rights accorded in all free states. The Ordered Republic of Asagaj must become a true democracy." As he said these words, solid black SUVs and several camoflaged tanks pulled up. Out of them stepped troops in solid green fatigues, carrying assault rifles, and Orderers, in black suits, black ties, and white shirts. They carried large .45ACP caliber pistols.

The lead Orderer motioned, and the military troops opened fire on the demonstrators. They quickly dispersed. Bristow barely escaped with his life as a bullet from one of the Orderers went through his business jacket, but missing his body.

"Attention all sin-ridden youth, protesting in strict violation of the constitution. You do not have rights. You will not have rights until you turn fifty. All you will be shot unless you leave now."

Later, the AAP released a statement.

Today, a horrible atrocity was committed. Peaceful protestors were shot in the horrible name of social "order." One-hundred and twenty-seven are dead, fifty more are in critical condition at the hospital we have set up- the government will not let us use theirs. Our leader needs to buy a new jacket, as the bullet of an orderer tore through it, missing his body by only a centimeter. That's right, centimeter, not zanadi. We must adopt the metric system. Our current one is outdated and not used by any other country in the world. We demand only rights being given based on ability and equality, not something as arbritrary as age. Not everyone believes in the sacred texts, and not everyone shares the same interpretation. We must have freedom of religion. The international community will share in our outrage!

The Government released a counter-statement.

Your horrible little protests are harmful to the fabric and unity of our society. We must move with order, unity, and purpose, as is our motto. Zanadis are better than these centimeters, for they are used in the sacred texts. The sacred texts must be followed, for there is only one truth. How can there be more than one truth? There is truth, and there is lies. You speak lies. So what do we speak? The truth! The international community will side with us, not your filth!

"We will never stop marching. We will never stop fighting for what is right! We demand that the government apoligize for the Naina Square Massacre, in addition the our origional demands." said Eric Bristow, marching at the very front, with no people around him, in full exposure to government snipers that were clearly on the rooftops, waiting for an order to fire.

In an office building overlooking the demonstration, Lilith Onsova, the head of the Orderers stood down with a cold stare, her face framed by two locks of jet black hair, with the rest of it in a bun. She looked as she was, cold, dark, calculating, and brutal. And yet, in an odd way, she was strangly attractive.

"It all comes down to the effects of our decision." She coldly stated to her aide, who she often monologued to. "Killing that loathsome twit may cause, due to a lack of leadership, the disparate factions within this movement to take care of themselves or dissolve entirely. However, it could infuriate and unify them, as things like this often do." She pondered for a moment. "We will let him live... for now. As for the rest, send in Orderers on motercycles. Don't kill anyone... intentionally. Have the motorcyclists charge the crowd."

Fifty orderers on motorcycles revved their engines, and accelerated into the crowd. Most of them quickly ran off. The motorcycles stayed near the protestors, and away from Bristow. He walked on, resolutely. He then ascended the steps of the Asagaj Ordered Council of Unity building, and raised his arms in a victorious cheer. "We," he began, talking about him and the small crowd that stayed at the foot of the steps "Have defied the snipers of the orderers, their motorcycle brigades, and to my understanding, the Ice Princess, Director Onsova herself, to make it here, to the center of the opression of this horrible government."
