Morinmoss is a large, environmentally friendly nation inhabiting a substantial volcanic archipelago in the Western Pacific. The terrain is generally mountainous, with lush forests in the north and jungles in the south. Morinmoss has substantial mineral resources in its mountain ranges, however ecological concerns limit mining operations to some extent. Agriculture is located primarily in the south-east portion of the country, where the islands are geologically older and typically flatter. A substantial aqua-farming industry is also present.

Visitors to Morinmoss are welcome, through the international airports at the capital, Morinmoss City, and also the southern port city of Fan Shuan. Visitors can experience a range of activities, such as skiing (in the north), white-water rafting on the many unfettered rivers of Morinmoss, and many opportunities to explore nature at its finest, both on land and in the coral reefs off the eastern shores of Morinmoss.

Morinmoss' currency is the greenleaf, which currently trades at 0.40 greenleafs to 1 NSG Crellar.

Government:
Morinmoss is a democratic state, ruled by an elected council and legislature. Major departments of the government and realm of control are:
Morinmoss Central Command: Military issues
Morinmoss State Department: Foreign relations
Morinmoss Research Council: Scientific and education issues
Morinmoss Health and Social Wellness Department: Health, welfare, police, and other
social issues
Morinmoss Central Bank: Financial issues
Morinmoss Homeland Council: other domestic affairs.

Military:
Morinmoss has a compulsory 2 year term in military service for all citizens. Most people elect to take service in the Morinmoss National Guard, which is commonly deployed during times of natural disaster or other emergencies. During quieter times, teamwork and leadership is taught in projects ranging from geologic and ecological surveys to road construction. All, however, receive training as standard Army cadets.
Morinmoss also has a standing army of ~750,000, equipped with the latest in equipment and weapons. The navy, with ~500,000 personnel, handles both coastal and deep-sea missions, and keeps peace on the seas between the many islands of Morinmoss. A small but growing air force employs ~100,000 personnel.

Education: Essentially all Morinmoss citizens are required to complete high school, with a comprehensive program to aid those who need it. Citizens are encouraged to continue their education with generous aid from the government. Teachers are well-paid and respected, and have substantial authority in the classroom.

Industry: Morinmoss has recently enjoyed an economic boom as new technologies have been developed for lessening the impact of heavy industry on the environment. Major sectors of Industry include Information Technology, Book publishing, and Arms manufacture.

Space: Morinmoss has recently joined the community of space-faring nations, and is nearing completion of a permanently-manned station in orbit. Further plans include missions to the Moon and asteroids, as well as robotic explorations of the rest of the solar system.
