There is no specific translation. It all depends on the RP. Make sure your fellow players know it.
As far as your nation stats are concerned: considering the growth rate of real life nation and NS nations, the number of issues that are offered to decide upon, the time it takes for decisions to take effect, and the speed with which the UN makes decisions, I'd say it's so totally inconsistent there's no point in making estimations ;)

Depends, personally I think it tends to vary from time to time: just like time in a movie or a book doesn't always go at the same linear speed.

The most common are these:
RL = NS
1 day = 1 month
1 day = 1 year
That is usually just between RPs though, as an hour of NS can stretch over a week in RL.

In Myntar 1.0 it was 1 week = 1 NS year
However, the militaries were growing like crazy... seeing two nations the size of Rhode Island on the map throw half a million fighters at each other after a few months would be rather ridiculous.
So, in Myntar 2.0 we changed it to 2 weeks = 1 NS year. This also gave time for less active members to post their budgets.
