The short sharp crack of a single rifle shot broke the relative silent of early morning in the market though few turned to look. They knew better by now. For the last week the Empress's storm troopers had been combing the city for any followers of the Pilonese religion and some who had looked a little too closely had joined the first corpse in the gutter.
They were left there as a sign to the other worshippers. Not as a warning to cease their worship - their crime had already been committed - but as a notice that they would be killed as well. Killed for worshipping a false god, killed for not showing absolute loyalty to she who demanded it. Her subject would fear her, should fear her, once again.

"Your Majesty, the prototype is ready for testing. You wished to see it..."
The researcher grovelled before his Empress. The soldiers had, by tradition, the right to walk upright in front of her Majesty. He had no such right and had worn his knees bloody on the rough stone of this throne room. She was in a particularly foul mood - rumor was that she had been forced to execute three of her lovers during the last night when they could not meet her demands - and his was not the only blood to soil her floor.
"I do. Captain..." she pointed at the man standing to her left, "Prepare a suitable conveyance for my person to the testing facility. I wish to view this wonder within the hour." She turned back to the researcher. "To show my appreciation for your efforts I order your daughter returned to you. Please me again and you will have your wife back as well..."

The librarian carefully placed the heavy tome on the table that dominated the center of the room. Gathered around the table were the Territory representatives - he had been ordered to show them the archives.
"Please be very careful with this. This is the official record of the family of Eisenherz from the day they came to this world. You will notice some of it is damaged already - one of the family tried to torch the library several decades before Katrin... The Empress's birth."
The tome is ancient - leather bound metal bindings contain sheafs of what appears to be a plastic paper substitute and then real paper. Each sheaf is carefully stitched to a cloth spine though some of the sheaves have been loosened and damaged by water and fire.

OOC: This RP will center around the purge of the Pilon 'religion' from Delta Zeta IV, as well as the discovery of the colony's originating country. It might also contain some political intrigue as outsiders seek to control the nation and world as their own.
