The United Duchies of Alcona and Hubris
Where?
The United Duchies of Alcona and Hubris is one of the wealthiest provinces of the Federated Klatchian Coast. And unlike some other, more well known provinces, Alcona and Hubris is governed by the rule of law and is accessible to visitors on 7, 10, 14, 30, and 60 day visas at little or no charge. Not only that but you can visit one of the many regions within this sprawling land of archipellagos, islands, and even an entire continent to explore.
The Duchy of Alcona--The Alcona Archipelago
A tropical land known for growing of tea, fruit, the growing information sector and heavy metal mining.
Parishes: West Neubayern, North Neubayern, South Neubayern, Ubo, Jaffit, Igsi, Dros, North Quip, South Quip, Fria, Ulanda, Stilton, Veirn, Bekti, Odania, Brini, Kududa, Wittlebach,

The Duchy of Hubris--The Isle of Hubris
The industrial 'heartland' of the Dual Duchies, an island in a temperate climate. Sking can be found in the high Hubarian mountains
Parishes: Gate Island, Dark Isle, Noname Isle, Poppins, Patowski, Torrriver, Southwest Haven, Northwest Haven, Bonker, Mar, Lake Mead, Torrhall.
Major Cities: Torrhall, Torrhallport (renamed Torrhaven), Passmar, South York, Gatecalf, Lazarus City, Hastville
The Organized Territories of the Outer Islands
The Outer Islands are rich in a history soaked in blood. Usually the nations of Alcona and Hubris vying for control of these rich islands.
Parishes: Sunway, Hife, Orbita, Caddary+Quemm, Zholand, Dwia+Oriana, Idsu, Dratia+Glornor, North Sean, South Sean.
Major Cities: Blood Harbor, Barray
The Duchy of Cawhaba
A large island in the Manx Sea known for elegant ladies, men who still live in the 19th century, and a decidedly relaxed atmosphere
The Eastern Marches
The Jungle Regions to the East of the Islands. Recently purchased they remain a cross of wild splendor, new farmland, and dangerous fauna. Not a place for the faint of heart, or unarmed exploration.
The Logoth Marches
A nice large pennisula in the Western Klatch. A wild, half tamed land of sheep farms, fruit orchards, farms, mining and timber.

At the moment travel to this continent is restricted

The Duchy of the Isles
The Protectorate of China Wrighty*
A refugee camp come industrial district.
Major City: Vauxville.
*Oddly these areas are not considered part of the Federated Klatchian Coast under the "Outer Territory Clause of the Federation Constitution.
Why?
Because The United Duchies offers the sophisticated traveler what they desire;a wide range of options in both climate and activities in one nation. At the same time, Alconians will decidedly not be telling you how horrid or neo-colonist you may or may not be. Unlike other former English Colonies Alcona began it's path of independence far earlier than most and in a decided non-violent manner.
In 1647 Charles I of England was without an army and trying to recruit one from Scotland. To help raise funds for his second attempt at overthrowing Parliament, he sold the colony of Thunderbay to the newly minted Duke of Thunderbay. (Parliament did not confirm the sale until 1662 upon the payment of almost 100,000 additional pounds).
At the same time the German Colony of Neubayren found itself awash in debt and without a sponsor during the Thirty Years war. Otto Wittelbach declared himself Duke of Neubayren in 1633. The two governments united in 1657 creating the Grand Duchy of Alcona.
What does that mean for me, I mean come on…that's nice but really…
Ah yes the point of all of that. Alconians have developed a sense of self that is independent. They are a people completely void of any need to either prove himself or herself to some mother country or feel slighted by their colonial history. They are a land of refugee's from Europe's own 17th, 18th, and 19th century slaughtering and do not have feelings of inferiority or the consent need to apply for victim-hood status in your presence. In point, anyone standing around complaining about Imperialist colonization is likely some poor fool from nearby Terran Sphere who's had too much of our lovely beer to drink (and will be proptely removed to his hotel room to sleep it off).

No, Alconian's as a whole are quite well off, having a very high living standard. Obviously some people have fallen on hard times. And crime is known to happen. However, most citizens are in the state militia and crime is at an all time low.
Ah, so you blokes are at the mercy of the rest of the overly armed Klatch…just having a militia to protect yourselves…
Alcona is not dependent on the State Militia for protection. Both the Marines and the Navy are volunteer professional organizations that report directly to the Naval Marshall and the Privy Council. The militia represents an ancient custom of self-reliance and defense that has continued to this day, giving our citizens an added sense of security in a dangerous world.
Okay, so your not some rinky dink Third World nation with nice beaches and a public transportation system that relies on buses built by my great-grandfather…what can I actually do in this paradise filled with a large number of…armed men?
And women…we will spotlight a few of the primary resort spots in our province.
