"As the leader of the Federation of Ibamun, a newly formed African nation, I come to the world with a proposal of a new alliance, an alliance of African nations. There is much turmoil and unrest in our great continent, but these problems can be solved easily if we unite and come together as one. Together we can stand strong under one banner, the banner of Africa, motherland of all continents. The nations involved within the alliance would initiate circular trade, which would benefit all participating nations and quell the effects of famine and starvation that exist within so many of our nations. A standing army for the alliance would be made, a combined force of all African armies, airforces and navies, merged into one defensive force.

All I ask is that we put our differences aside, and come together as the children of Africa. As the cliche goes, divided we are weak, but united we are strong.

The Commonwealth pledges its support to any such African alliance, as the development of a strong and independent Africa figures into the security of not only this nation but many others as success in the wars on poverty and underdevelopment, two problems that blight the African continent, will lead to a success in the wars on terror and instability that each nation may find itself waging.

ooc:Well, Lusaka sufferes hundreds of thousands of AIDS deaths every year, half of its economy is based on subsistance farming, and though the economy over-all isn't doing too badly at the moment, most of it's going right into the military rather than infrastructure or reform, as we've aggressive western imperialists on two sides and ethnic/religious tensions with our Arabic neighbours building by the day.

There's no point trying to "win nation states" so one may as well not make an ass of himself trying, says I :)

The Democratic Republic of Agadishu wishes to apply for membership in the Alliance of African Peoples. As new members to the international community, we are concerned for safety of our own people, and we seek to engage in trade with others. It is a strong belief of my government that membership in this alliance will only help our impoverished nation.

Africa has to be the Continent most ignored by NS RPers - not to mention the real world.

But, The Opressive Church is in the Indian Ocean, about 200 miles off Madagascar (On a Fictional Island) and technically we're part of the African Continent... If Roania stop occupying us soon, you might be hearing from us. Although, the country is really only 10% African...

Roycelandia has a large colony in Africa- Lusaka's arch-nemesis, Roycelandian East Africa 8)

I'm surprised there aren't more African Nations- I rather enjoy RPing a Colonialist Empire, in a Region where the Natives are almost permanently restlesss... :D
